To Every salary earners/Entrepreneur How I handle my monthly expenses and still Plan for “unexpected” expenses without being pressure by Transport increase, small family requests, data subscription… they will come. And still Set aside a small (savings) so they don’t disrupt my whole plan....
Every Individual should have at least 3-4 account....
Now this is what I do over the years and it really works for me and I hope it does for you...
Let's break it down
1. The Receiving Account 100%:
Every income should have a receiving account where all income goes into. This is the account that is only meant to receive every moneys that should come into your life....
2. Saving account 20%(purposefully)
Note: every savings you plan to start should have a purpose (why) you're saving and for what reason (purpose).
Mistakes we commonly make is saving without a purpose.
Personally I save for:
1. Investment and
2. For emergency (health wise)
Now this should be 20% savings if every income I received....
3. Monthly expenses account 50%:
I know my monthly expenses every month because I've sat down to pick the most important things required to keep me running successful....
My monthly bills are: Feeding, transportation, light bills, water bills, maintenance, Gas refilling, toiletries, cosmetics, subscriptions (not for entertainment) but for (business), shavings, family (pay) be it as little as it is you should be sending money to your parents every month, even as low as 5k is something and that cultivate a habits of good success.
Note: your monthly expenses should be what you cannot do without.
4. Miscellaneous account 10%:
This account is just for urgent 2k😁, snacks, just keeping around 😁
Remember the rules : 100%, 20%, 50%, 10%...
Now this is he good news you still have extra 20% left in your Receiving account.
Note: Never you run any expenses without saving 20% for your future which is your tomorrow that you don't know what might happened....
If you can keep to this definitely you'll achieve and do a lot in life without stress... It's just the discipline you need.......

Getting rejected on business proposals is very common, especially when you're still building experience. Most of the time, it’s not that your idea is bad — it’s that the proposal doesn’t clearly convince the other person to say “yes.”
Let’s break it down simply.
🔴 COMMON MISTAKES YOU MIGHT BE MAKING
1. ❌ No clear problem statement
Many proposals start with what you want, not what the client is struggling with.
Mistake example:
“I offer cleaning services for your company…”
This is weak because it doesn’t show a problem.
What they want to see:
“Your facility may be struggling with maintaining daily cleanliness, which can affect staff productivity and customer impression…”
👉 Businesses don’t buy services — they buy solutions to problems
2. ❌ Talking too much about yourself, not them
If your proposal is full of “we are the best… we have experience…” but not about their needs, it loses attention.
Rule: 👉 80% about THEM
👉 20% about YOU
3. ❌ No clear value or benefit
You may be listing services instead of outcomes.
Weak:
-Floor cleaning
-Waste disposal
-Window washing
Strong:
-A consistently clean environment that improves staff productivity
-A hygienic space that reduces complaints and infections
-A professional appearance that attracts customers
👉 People pay for results, not tasks
4. ❌ Poor structure (hard to read)
Decision makers are busy. If your proposal looks like a long block of text, they skip it.
Good structure should be:
-Problem
-Solution
-Benefits
-Cost
-Call to action
5. ❌ Weak first impression (no strong hook)
The first 5–10 seconds matter.
If your opening is boring, they stop reading.
6. ❌ Not customized
If you send the same proposal to everyone, it feels generic.
Example mistake:
Same proposal sent to hospital, school, office
Each business has different needs.
7. ❌ No proof or trust signals
People want reassurance.
If you don’t include:
-Past work
-Testimonials
-Photos
-Certifications (if any)
They hesitate.
8. ❌ No clear call to action
Many proposals end without telling the client what to do next.
Weak ending:
“We hope to hear from you”
Strong ending:
“We would like to schedule a 15-minute walkthrough of your facility this week to discuss how we can support your cleaning needs.”
🟢 SIMPLE SOLUTIONS THAT WILL CHANGE YOUR RESULTS
✔ 1. Start with THEIR problem
Always open like this:
“We noticed many offices struggle with maintaining consistent hygiene due
✔ 2. Sell outcomes, not services
Instead of listing tasks, say:
“We help your environment stay consistently clean, safe, and professional.”
✔ 3. Keep it short and structured
Ideal proposal = 1–2 pages (for small businesses)
✔ 4. Add personalization
Mention:
-Their company name
-Their location
-Their likely challenge
-Even basic personalization improves acceptance.
✔ 5. Add trust builders
Even simple ones:
“We have worked with small offices in (Location)
Before/after photos (if possible)
Clear contact details
✔ 6. End with a direct next step
Always ask for:
Meeting
Inspection
Call
Don’t end passively.
💡 IMPORTANT TRUTH
Most rejections are not because: ❌ Your business is bad
❌ Your idea is weak
But because: 👉 The proposal didn’t make them feel confident enough to act
Being stuck financially, That’s a tough place to be in—and I won’t sugarcoat it: if what you’ve been trying isn’t working, something about the approach has to change. But that’s actually good news, because it means you’re not stuck permanently—you just haven’t hit the right strategy yet.
Let’s get practical for a moment.
Right now, there are usually 3 core issues behind being stuck financially:
1. Income is too low
2. Expenses are too high (or unmanaged)
3. Effort is going into things that don’t produce cash fast enough
So instead of more effort, you need better direction.
Here’s the honest path forward:
1. Focus on cash flow first, not big dreams
(temporarily) Your long-term plans are solid, but if money is tight now, you need something that brings in cash weekly or daily.
Ask yourself:
What can I do today that someone will pay me for this week?
Examples that work in Nigeria:
-Cleaning services (homes, offices, post-construction)
-Laundry / ironing service
-Errand services
-Helping small businesses with social media posting.
-Basic graphic design (flyers, WhatsApp ads—you already have interest here)
2. Stop “waiting for perfect”—sell something small immediately A lot of people stay broke because they’re building something “big” that isn’t paying yet.
Instead:
Sell a simple version first
Even if it’s just 5 customers
For example:
Offer laundry + free scented packaging experience
Let people pay you before you scale
3. Use what you already have You don’t need new ideas—you need to squeeze money out of what’s already in your hands.
If You already have:
Business idea
Interest in design
Ability to communicate
That’s enough to start generating something.
4. Cut anything draining money quietly Be brutally honest here:
-Subscriptions
-Unnecessary transport
-Random spending
-Even small leaks keep you stuck.
5. Daily action rule Every single day, do something that can lead to money:
-Talk to 5 potential customers
-Post an offer
-Follow up on someone
make sure everyday your doing a particular task
No zero days.
Now let me be real with you:
You’re not stuck because there’s “no opportunity.” You’re stuck because the current actions aren’t converting to income. Once you switch to cash-focused actions, things start shifting—even if slowly at first.
If you want, I can help you map out a clear 7-day survival plan based on your exact situation (how much you have, skills, location, etc.).
