SAN POLICARPO, Eastern Samar — ANSCHI alumna Soledad N. Barnobal passed the August–September 2026 Nurses Licensure Examination (NLE), adding another professional achievement to the growing list of accomplishments of the school’s graduates.

Barnobal, a former student of ANSCHI, successfully hurdled the national licensure examination administered by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC), marking a significant step toward her career as a registered nurse.

Her achievement reflects the determination, discipline, and perseverance she developed through years of study and professional preparation. From her years at ANSCHI to her nursing education, Barnobal continued to pursue her goal of serving others through the medical profession.

The achievement also brought pride to the ANSCHI community, as another alumna reached a professional milestone after completing the demanding journey toward nursing licensure.

Barnobal’s success serves as an inspiring reminder to ANSCHI learners that hard work and perseverance can turn career aspirations into meaningful achievements.

𝗦𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗦𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗸𝘀, 𝗥𝗦𝗣𝗖 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗶𝘁𝘀 𝗔𝗡𝗦𝗖𝗛𝗜’𝘀 𝗪𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀

MAYDOLONG, Eastern Samar — ANSCHI’s young writers proved that excellence speaks in different languages as Jonalyn Joy S. Cantuna and Mesfa Mae T. Norcio earned top spots in the 2026 Division Secondary Schools Press Conference last September 9-12, securing their places among the division’s leading Sci-Tech writers.

Cantuna clinched 3rd place in Sci-Tech Writing-English, earning a slot as a Regional Schools Press Conference qualifier, while Norcio secured 5th place in Sci-Tech Writing-Filipino under the guidance of their coach, Ms. Aizel Beth Balibag.

While one wrote in English and the other in Filipino, both writers shared one goal: to turn complex science and technology topics into clear, meaningful stories for young readers.

Cantuna’s third-place finish gave ANSCHI a stronger voice on the regional stage. Her qualification showed that careful research, clear writing, and confidence can turn a difficult technical topic into a story that informs and connects.

Norcio, meanwhile, strengthened the school’s Filipino journalism program with her fifth-place finish. Her achievement proved that science writing does not have to be limited by language; it can also thrive through Filipino when ideas are presented with accuracy and creativity.

The contrasting languages became their shared strength. English opened Cantuna’s path to the regional competition, while Filipino gave Norcio another avenue to make science understandable and relevant.

Behind both achievements stood Balibag, whose coaching helped sharpen the writers’ skills in research, organization, accuracy, and scientific storytelling.

More than two winning entries, Cantuna and Norcio showed that ANSCHI’s journalism can speak in two languages while carrying one powerful message: young writers can make science matter when they write with knowledge, purpose, and voice.

𝗠𝗮𝘁𝗵 𝗠𝗶𝗻𝗱𝘀 𝗔𝗱𝗱 𝗨𝗽 𝘁𝗼 𝗕𝗶𝗴 𝗪𝗶𝗻𝘀

SULAT, Eastern Samar — By turning numbers into opportunities and solving problems with focus, ANSCHI’s young mathematicians secured two winning spots during the 2026 Division Science, Technology, and Mathematics Fair (DSTMF) last September 10-12.

Leading the Grade 9 category, Liana Korrine B. Acain earned 7th Place out of 41 contenders in the Grade 9 Math Quiz, coached by Mrs. Cristial B. Pajares. Her performance showed how careful analysis and strong mathematical skills can turn challenging questions into winning answers.

Meanwhile, Janice Ortinez brought another achievement to ANSCHI after placing 8.5th out of 28 contenders in the Grade 11/12 Math Quiz, under the guidance of Mr. Alduin L. Copioso. Competing in a higher-level category, Ortinez demonstrated determination and confidence while facing complex mathematical problems.

Acain’s 7th-place finish and Ortinez’s 8.5th-place achievement highlighted ANSCHI’s growing strength in mathematics across different grade levels.

More than numbers on a scoreboard, their victories reflected the value of preparation, discipline, and critical thinking; proving that at ANSCHI, every problem can become a chance to rise.

SULAT, Eastern Samar — ANSCHI student-scientists are taking on a bigger challenge today, September 10, as they compete and showcase their skills in the 2026 Division Science, Technology, and Mathematics Fair (DSTMF) at Sulat, Eastern Samar, which will run until September 12.

The three-day fair brings together young learners from different schools to present their knowledge, creativity, and problem-solving skills in science, technology, and mathematics.

Unlike ordinary classroom activities, the DSTMF gives students a chance to turn lessons into actual investigations, solutions, and innovations. For ANSCHI, the event becomes a testing ground where ideas meet competition and preparation meets performance.

Through various contests and presentations, participating students are expected to demonstrate critical thinking, scientific inquiry, mathematical skills, and technological creativity.

The fair also highlights the value of teamwork and perseverance as student-participants face challenges beyond their usual school environment.

As the competition unfolds, ANSCHI’s delegates carry not only their projects and skills but also the school’s hope to make another mark in the division-level arena.

MAYDOLONG, Eastern Samar — When the Division Schools Press Conference (DSPC) 2026 parade filled the streets of Maydolong, Eastern Samar, ANSCHI’s The Artisans marched with pride, carrying not only their school’s name but also their passion for creativity and craftsmanship.

“We create, we march, we represent,” echoed the spirit of The Artisans as they joined fellow campus journalists and school delegations in the colorful parade that officially welcomed the DSPC 2026.

Dressed in their distinctive attire, the ANSCHI delegation showcased unity and confidence as they moved along the parade route, drawing attention through their coordinated appearance and spirited participation.

For The Artisans, the parade was more than a ceremonial activity. It was a chance to represent the Alugan National School of Craftsmanship and Home Industries and celebrate the skills, talents, and creativity of young journalists.

With every step, the delegates carried the school’s identity beyond the campus, showing that journalism is not only about writing stories but also about standing proudly for the community they serve.

As the parade came to an end, The Artisans marched forward with one message: their journey at DSPC 2026 had officially begun; not just to compete, but to tell stories, showcase talent, and represent ANSCHI with pride.

Behind the publication’s polished pages is Teacher Arianne A. Picaña, who handled the layout of The Artisans, turning stories and photographs into an organized and engaging school paper.

With every headline carefully placed and every page designed to capture attention, the publication reflects the hardwork of ANSCHI’s campus journalists and school paper advisers.

As the DSPC opens its doors, The Artisans is set to prove that a school paper is more than ink and paper; it is a voice that tells stories worth knowing.

ANSCHI’s Technovators - Bake Cares and Sining Tanghalan - CineMunti teams showcased their talents and brought pride to Alugan National School of Craftsmanship and Home Industries (ANSCHI) after earning places in the recently held Division Festival of Talents at Balangiga, Eastern Samar, on September 2–5, 2026.

Composed of Kyle Angelo Baleña and Jewel Ricaella Chereguine, the Technovators Bake Cares Team, coached by Ma’am Myla Pasquito, secured 3rd Place, proving that creativity and teamwork can turn skills into meaningful community benefits.

Meanwhile, the CineMunti Team, composed of Mark Tyron Adena, Daniel Anthony Calda, Jeith Sheldon Cinco, Merian Moratal, Jorence Rosendal, and Xander Drake Rodriguez, placed 7th under the guidance of coaches Ms. Sharicah Ashyll Cerilla and Mr. Alduin Copioso.

The achievements highlighted the learners’ dedication, preparation, and ability to use their talents beyond the classroom. Their performances also reflected ANSCHI’s commitment to developing students who can create, collaborate, and compete with confidence.

With their hard-earned victories, the two teams proved that every competition is more than a race for medals; it is an opportunity to learn, serve, and make their school community proud.

𝗛𝗼𝗻𝗼𝗿 𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗿𝘀, 𝗖𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗯𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗧𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿 𝗟𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗜𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗰𝘁

By recognizing their service and honoring their sacrifices, schools and communities will celebrate teachers during the 2026 National Teachers’ Month from September 5 to October 5, culminating in World Teachers’ Day on October 5.

The month-long celebration will highlight the dedication, commitment, and important contributions of teachers in shaping learners and strengthening communities.

In the Philippines, September 5 marks the start of National Teachers’ Month, while October 5 serves as both National Teachers’ Day and World Teachers’ Day. The celebration is anchored on Presidential Proclamation No. 242 and Republic Act No. 10743, which recognize the vital role of teachers in nation-building.

Schools are encouraged to conduct activities that show appreciation for teachers and recognize their work inside and outside the classroom. These may include tribute programs, messages of gratitude, recognition activities, and other school-based celebrations.

Because determination, teamwork, and strong mathematical skills can turn challenges into opportunities, Janice Ortinez of HUMSS 12-Molave and Mesfa Mae Norcio of Academic 11-Daisy brought pride to Alugan National School of Craftsmanship and Home Industries (ANSCHI) after securing the Achiever Award / 4th Place in the 3rd National Mathletics Challenge organized by Philippine Education Nexus-PEN Inc. on August 23, 2026.

To achieve the feat, Ortinez and Norcio combined their mathematical knowledge, critical thinking, and preparation under the guidance of their coach, Mr. Alduin L. Copioso. Their performance showed how consistent practice and teamwork can help young learners compete at the national level.

The two student-mathletes prepared for the competition by strengthening their problem-solving skills, reviewing mathematical concepts, and practicing under time pressure. Their preparation helped them improve their accuracy, speed, and confidence in answering challenging mathematical problems.

Behind their achievement was the support of Mr. Jessie Marlou C. Pomida, School Principal I, whose encouragement helped motivate the learners and their coach throughout their preparation and participation.

Their 4th-place finish / Achiever Award reflected not only their mathematical ability but also the value of discipline, perseverance, and teamwork.

Ortinez and Norcio’s achievement proved that with proper preparation, committed coaching, and strong school support, students can rise to national challenges and bring honor to their school.
