Myanmar Earthquake Emergency Response

A 7.7-magnitude earthquake has struck central Myanmar, causing widespread devastation. Hospitals are overwhelmed, infrastructure has collapsed, and thousands are now without shelter, medical care, or access to basic necessities. With a state of emergency declared, immediate humanitarian intervention is critical.

MERCY Malaysia, with a presence in Myanmar since 2008, is rapidly mobilizing resources to provide:

🔵 Emergency medical assistance to support overstretched healthcare facilities

🔵 Food and clean water for displaced and vulnerable communities

🔵 Shelter and essential supplies for affected families

🔵 Mental health and psychosocial support (MHPSS) for those impacted by trauma

At least 3 million people require urgent humanitarian aid. Your support is crucial in ensuring swift and effective assistance.

Bicara Idea Siri 6: Pendidikan Pengurusan Risiko Bencana - Membina Keupayaan Menjamin Kelestarian, telah diadakan pada 10 Oktober 2024, di Auditorium Siswa, Pusanika UKM Bangi. Bicara Idea ini menampilkan Gs Dr Nurfashareena Muhamad sebagai moderator, dan beberapa orang panel Ahmad Sufyan Aslam daripada UNICEF Malaysia Pn Siti Mariam Abu daripada NADMA Malaysia dan En Fakaruddin Hussain daripada Kementerian Pendidikan Malaysia Bicara Idea ini bertujuan untuk memberi informasi terkini berkaitan pengurusan risiko bencana di Malaysia, selain memberi nilai tambah untuk pembinaan keupayaan semasa dan selepas bencana, dengan memberi tumpuan kepada pendidikan kepada kanak-kanak sekolah. Bicara Idea ini turut dihadiri oleh pelajar sekolah daripada SMAP Kajang Dan SMK Bandar Baru Bangi.
