🧡 FREE RIDES AVAILABLE TODAY - ORANGE SHIRT DAY 🧡

Yorkton Tribal Council is grateful to AJ’s Taxi Yorkton for generously offering free rides today for community members attending our National Day for Truth and Reconciliation / Orange Shirt Day event.

Transportation should not be a barrier to taking part in this important day of remembrance, learning, reflection, and reconciliation. AJ’s Taxi will provide free rides to and from the YTC event, including transportation between the Yorkton Tribal Council office at 63 King Street East and City Park.

Today is an opportunity to honour Residential School Survivors, their families, and communities; remember the children who never returned home; and learn about the ongoing impacts of the residential school system. Coming together, listening, and continuing to educate ourselves are meaningful parts of reconciliation.

AJ’s Taxi has supported YTC community events in the past and continues to be an important community partner for future gatherings. We sincerely appreciate this great collaboration and their commitment to helping make services and events accessible to everyone.
