The Springside SCC would like to send a HUGE thank you out to the Springside Fire Department for helping out and taking care of the cooking for the BBQ lunch fundraiser today! Also thank you to those who came for lunch and supported raising funds towards the new playground.

⭐️The Grade 4/5 and 6 classes had a fun morning at the Metis Day Celebration at Dr. Brass. What a great event to celebrate and learn about Metis culture! Thank you to those who put it all together!

Congrats to this amazing group of actors as they put on a great show last night! Thank you to all who came out and supported the Springside School Drama Club in their performance and to help begin to raise funds for purchasing a new portable stage for the school.
Thank you to parents, family, and friends who helped with memorizing lines, finding costumes and bringing delicious baking!
A big thank you to Springside Baptist Church for the use of your stage!

May 4 - 8 was Mental Health Awareness week. Here are a few activities that took place at Springside School:
🎙The Grade 6 - 8's were able to attend an engaging and very informative presentation by Levi Stanford at the Anne Portnuff Theatre.
🥞On Thursday Mrs. Lucky and volunteers provided an AMAZING breakfast to start the day! THANK YOU!
On Friday afternoon, groups rotated through "Wellness Stations" which included:
🖍Mindfulness Colouring
📚Shared Reading/Art Activity
🧘♀️Yoga/Meditation
🖌Rock Painting to add colour outside the school!
⛹Gym Games
🎲Board Games/Building
🌞Many students also enjoyed the beautiful sunshine and last snow melting off the playground!

🌷The Springside School Drama Club has been working hard on their Spring Play -called "The Fairy Tale Cafe"! They will be performing at the Springside Baptist Church on May 14 at 7 p.m. Tickets are $5 in advance or $7 at the door. All proceeds will go towards a new portable stage for our school.
