Today, we take a moment to celebrate Father’s Day and honour the fathers and father figures who help shape the lives of our children through their love, guidance, encouragement, and quiet acts of wisdom.

Whether it is a father, grandfather, uncle, stepfather, godparent, older sibling, or another trusted role model, we recognize the many individuals who support, nurture, and inspire our children each day. Often, the most meaningful lessons are taught not through words, but through everyday moments, shared experiences, and unwavering presence.

From all of us at Greek School GBA, thank you to the fathers and father figures in our community for the values, strength, and care you bring to the lives of our students and families. Your impact reaches far beyond today and is deeply appreciated throughout the year.

Our High School Greek Credit Classes have officially wrapped up for the year!

The exams are done, the hard work has paid off, and another successful year is in the books. We are so proud of our students for their dedication, perseverance, and commitment to learning the Greek language and culture.

We wish all of our students and families a wonderful, restful, and well-deserved summer.

A school year may have come to an end, but the memories and the growth remain.

As we tidy classrooms and prepare for another wonderful year ahead, we are reminded of just how far our students have come. These "Welcome Back to School" pages, completed during the very first days of Greek School, capture their hopes, interests, and dreams at the beginning of the year.

Months later, looking back at these pages is a beautiful reminder of the confidence gained, friendships formed, language skills developed, and goals achieved along the way. From first-day introductions to end-of-year celebrations, every page tells a story of growth.

We are so proud of each and every one of our students and look forward to seeing how their stories continue to unfold next year.

We are thrilled to announce that our Greek High School Credit Program is expanding to include a Saturday option beginning in the upcoming school year!

Classes will be held every Saturday from 9:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.

This program provides students with the opportunity to earn high school credits while strengthening their Greek language skills, deepening their understanding of Greek culture, and connecting with their heritage.

We look forward to welcoming both new and returning students as we continue to grow our program and support student success.

Greek School GBA is excited to welcome The Greek Press to our school!

This valuable resource will serve as both an educational tool for our older students and a way for our families to stay informed and connected to the Greek community locally and abroad. Through newspapers and current events, students will have opportunities to strengthen their Greek language skills, develop media literacy, and engage in meaningful discussions about issues affecting Greece, Cyprus, and the Greek diaspora.

For our parents and community members, The Greek Press provides another way to stay connected to our heritage, our language, our culture, and the events shaping our communities both here in Canada and around the world.

A heartfelt thank you to The Greek Press for supporting Greek language education and helping us strengthen the connection between our students, families, and our shared heritage.

Our students have been having so much fun using the classic game “Guess Who?” to build their Greek vocabulary, practice asking and answering questions, and strengthen their oral communication skills in Greek. Through interactive games such as this, students develop confidence while learning in a meaningful and engaging way.

From describing physical features to forming complete sentences and asking questions, our learners are growing their language skills through collaboration, laughter, and hands-on learning experiences.

At Greek School GBA we believe that language learning should be interactive, joyful, and connected to real communication.
