Hi everyone!
We've had an amazing summer full of fun, friendships, discovery and wonder. Each week of camp has been special and magical, and we have cherished the opportunity to get to know each and every camper who has passed through our doors.
Now that summer is winding down, we wanted to take a minute to provide a bit of an update on our plans for the business. The biggest news is that we'll be closing our studio space, The Forge, at the end of this month. This decision was made for a multitude of reasons, including the sale of the building we've been operating out of, and some serious health concerns in our immediate family. We will not be looking to relocate the business into a permanent home at this time. Codelets has been my passion project, and I have enjoyed putting my heart into it, but running a small business is big big work, and I need to give that extra energy to my family at this time.
So what does that mean for our students and campers? We're planning to continue our community partnerships with places like the Museum and Library, allowing us to continue to deliver some programming in an accessible format. Beyond that, we're not 100% certain what the future holds. This space will be the first place to see an update when we do have anything new to share.
A deep, heartfelt thank you to each child who came through our doors and shared with us their joy and wonder in learning this past year.

Looking for something unique and engaging to keep your kiddo busy next week? We have a few spots available in our Cardboard Creators STEM camp!
Join us for a week of epic adventures in construction, engineering, 3d modeling, coding and robotics! This camp is all about expressing and exploring your creativity, and then learning how to bring your ideas to life using various different technologies.
Craft and code something new everyday, from the biggest of builds (like firetrucks and pirate ships!) to the smallest of small (like fidget toys and locking boxes).
- Learn how to use TinkerCAD to create and print 3d models which we'll use to expand and extend our cardboard creations (hinges, locking mechanisms, custom decorations, etc)
- Explore how circuits power the world around us, and how we can use them to add interactive lighting and motion features to our builds (LED light up name signs, desktop windmills, etc)
- Use Makecode and BBC Micro:bit processors to write actual computer programs and see how your code works in the real world (make a working step counter, create a soil moisture monitoring system, etc)
Our camps feature small groups and emphasize high quality, hands-on activities and experiences.

Check out our new tinkering level one program: Fidget Masters is a unique blend of CAD modeling, product design and 3D printing developed for all the kids giving that wild inventor energy!
We explore the fundamentals of 3d design, including:
- movement (how should it move)
- tolerances (how much should it move?)
- prototyping (does it work?)
- iteration (how about now?)
Each week we'll print our work and take it home for immersive product testing. Each of our fidget masters will leave this program with plenty of real, transferable STEM skills and a fun collection of their very own fidgets.
Registration is open now for the next session, check out the link in bio for details!
