Do yourself a favor and try this delicious easy holiday treat! Melt your favourite chocolate and mix it in with crushed plain chips (just enough to coat it). Portion however you’d like and sprinkle with your favourite toppings. We like crushed candy cane! Put it in the fridge to set and enjoy! 🍫🎄

I have made it no secret that I love to help families feed themselves nutritious meals for an affordable price during the difficult times. And I am here to tell you: ALWAYS buy whole chickens when they are on sale. I bought this chicken for 9$. That night we roasted it and had a beautiful meal. When I packed it away that night I put aside a meal for my husband to take for lunch. The next day I picked the meat off the bones and made a beautiful bone broth with and then I turned that broth into a stew for another family meal. I even had enough stew leftover to make a small chicken pot pie for my kids to share. That 9$ chicken plus a few of the cheaper vegetables like carrots, onions, potatoes, and some flour and butter made 11 servings of food for my family. Yes it was a bit of work making everything from scratch but as sweater weather rolls in I find myself drawn to the warmth of the kitchen anyway, and I hope you do too! 🍗🥧🥘👩‍🍳

Tom yum soup is one of our favourite ways to keep warm in the fall! It’s the perfect combo of tangy and a little bit of spice! How do you like to warm up in the fall?
