Hey there Hepcats! It's been a long time but we're happy to announce that we're having our annual Swingin' to Spring again this year (we haven't had one since 2019!). We've got two days of dancing lined up and you're all invited! There's a social the Friday evening of May 12th, workshops the afternoon of May 13th and our main live music dance event the evening of May 13th!

An update on Swingin' to Spring 2020 in Fredericton... we're so sorry everyone but we have decided to cancel due to the ongoing COVID-19 concerns.

Need your dance fix? This coming August 24th Fredericton Swing Dance will have its third annual "Summer Swingout" event. This is going to be an all day event that starts Saturday at 10am with workshop classes for existing beginner and all level swing dancers. There will be 4 workshops total and will run until 4:15pm in the afternoon. The price of each individual workshop is $10 (details about each workshop coming soon).

If you've never swing danced before, don't know how to dance or want to learn how to dance then the evening starts at 7pm with a free introductory swing lesson! (included in the evening dance ticket). This one hour course on the basic steps of swing dancing will give you the tools and the footwork you need to get out on the floor and dance to some of the best music the last century has to offer.

And the main event, starting in the evening at 8pm we'll have Fredericton's premier big band The Thomists playing classic arrangements of swing music from the 20s-40s in one of the finest dance halls in the city the Forest Hill Conference Centre ballroom. The Thomists always put on an amazing show and they're fun to both to watch and dance too!

The cost of the evening dance is: $20
Each individual workshop is: $10
The evening dance+all workshops: $50

Payment is either at the door or through an e-transfer.
