There is no easy way to say this.

With a very heavy heart, I have made the decision to close our school after six incredible years.

Sadly, we have reached a point where we can no longer sustainably operate the school. This was not a decision I made lightly, and it comes with a great mix of emotions.

When I opened this school six years ago, I dreamed of creating a place where children would feel safe, loved, and inspired to learn. Because of our amazing families, dedicated teachers, and wonderful students, that dream became so much more than I ever imagined. This school has been my passion, my second home, and a community that I will always hold close to my heart.

Our August summer camps will continue as planned, and we look forward to making these final weeks together full of fun, laughter, and special memories. Once camp concludes, we will not be offering any further programming.

To every family who trusted me with your children, thank you. To every teacher who shared my vision and gave so much of yourselves, thank you. And to every child who walked through our doors and filled our days with laughter, hugs, and joy, thank you.

It has been one of the greatest privileges of my life to watch you learn, grow, and become part of this little family.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you for believing in my dream and for making these past six years so incredibly meaningful.

Although this chapter is coming to an end, the memories, friendships, and love we’ve shared will stay with me forever.

With love and gratitude,
Julie Millward

Ten years later, and this project still sparks the same sense of wonder. 🐣✨

This year marks my 10th year personally leading a chick hatching project, and our 6th year continuing it at Millpond. Students have the incredible opportunity to observe chick development inside the eggs through candling, watch the excitement of hatching day, and see firsthand how quickly the chicks grow in their first days of life.

The wonder, curiosity, and engagement this project inspires never gets old. Every year, it brings science to life in a way that books simply can’t. 💛

March Break has officially begun! 🫧✨

Yesterday we gathered in the school yard for our annual Bubble Send Off, a tradition that fills the air with laughter, community spirit, and a lot of floating wishes. Families came together to count down to the break and send bubbles drifting into the sky, each one carrying hopes for a safe, joyful, and adventure-filled March Break.

Moments like this remind us how special our community truly is. Wishing all of our families a wonderful, relaxing, and fun-filled holiday. We can’t wait to hear all about your adventures when we return!

Enjoy the break everyone! 💙🫧
