In a remarkable display of perseverance, South Korean grandmother Cha Sa-Soon passed her driving test on her 960th attempt. Beginning in April 2005, Cha faced numerous challenges, including failing the written test 959 times and the practical test 100 times. Undeterred, she continued her efforts, investing over £11,000 in test fees. Her determination was driven by the need to drive for her vegetable-selling business.

Cha's unwavering commitment made her a national celebrity in South Korea. Upon finally obtaining her license, Hyundai Motor Company gifted her a new vehicle valued at approximately £11,640.
