In this series we ask a fourth year about their schedule over the years, what they plan to do in the future, and a couple other questions! This can give you an idea of what kind of courses you can take and also potential careers in the future.

This year we are orchestrating biology society applications and executive positions a little bit differently. We will be starting this process by electing the 2026-2027 president and vice president (or co-presidents if applicants so choose)

So…. what does this mean?
This means that interested individuals for these positions will apply early, and will help facilitate the process of applications for the rest of the executive positions

How do I apply?
The application process for president and vice president (or co-presidents) will be essentially the same: you will be required to forward a resume and cover letter and may be selected to interview for the position. It is not a requirement to have been on the biology society previously; however, it does help.

We ask that if you are applying for president, it is preferred that you are going into your fourth year. For vice-president third year or above is preferred. This is not a requirement, but a strong suggestion! :-)

If you and another are interested in applying for co-presidents instead, please email us together and make us aware.

Please forward a resume and transcript to the current president Morgan Trombley ([email protected]) and the current vice-president Ellie Smith-Whetter ([email protected]) with the subject line “President and Vice President Applications” outlining exactly what you would like to apply for. This is just so we can keep things organized. These will be due on Monday March 16th (a week from today) at 11:59pm, so that we can have time to elect the rest of the team.
