Hello all,

Please join us this Thursday, October 1, for the Acadia Biology Seminar Series! The seminar will be held from 4:00-5:00PM in Elliott Hall (ELL) 207. 

This week we will be joined by Master’s students in Acadia Biology. Sarah Postuma will be presenting on extreme rainfall in the Canadian High Arctic and the anticipated outcomes on plant communities, and Lucy van Haaften will be presenting on diet and plastic ingestion of gulls in Arctic Canada. We can’t wait to see you there!

Are you interested in the Acadia Biology Honours program, or want to know more about it?

Please join us at the Honours Panel on Monday, September 28th from 12:00PM-12:50PM in BAC 234! This event is a Q&A-style panel, where both past and present Honours students can answer any questions you have about the program and the process!

In addition to in-person questions at the event, we will also be accepting online anonymous question submissions. If there is something you would like to ask an Honours student anonymously, you can submit it using the form in our bio!

Snacks will be provided, and you are welcome to enjoy your lunch at the event. Those with lectures until 12:20 are encouraged to join us following your lecture!

We will also be joined by the wonderful Biology Honours Coordinator, Dr. Allison Walker, who will give some more insight on how to get involved.

The first Acadia Biology Seminar of the semester will be on Sept 17th from 4-5pm in Elliot Hall room 207. Dr Henry Cordoba-Novoa is a postdoctoral fellow in the Migicovsky lab here at Acadia University. He will be presenting on agronomist and the effect of deleterious mutations on the genetic variance of traits of interest.
