☔ Salsa by the Sea is cancelled tonight.

We had high hopes that the thunderstorms were going to blow on by to give us a clear evening for dancing.

Due to the current weather forecast (more thunderstorms between 6-8pm-yay!), Salsa by the Sea is cancelled for tonight. Unfortunately, we do not have an indoor location available this evening.

On a happy note, we DO have the Wolfville Legion reserved in case of rain during the Wolfville Waterfront Dance Festival on August 29th.

We’ll miss seeing you tonight, but we look forward to dancing together again next Friday!

Annapolis Valley Dance Company is pleased to partner with Emily Peat of The Underdog Dance Corp. to present two special guest workshops on Tuesday, August 18, taking place at YogaLife Studio.

Emily will be in Atlantic Canada for a week of workshops, private lessons and social dancing, including the Halifax Salsa & Bachata Festival, and we’re thrilled to welcome her Wolfville!

She’ll be offering two workshops:

1) Bachata Footwork & Hips with Emily (7-8pm)
A chance to work on individual movement, styling, footwork and hip action while developing techniques you can bring into your Bachata dancing.

2) Modern Bachata with Emily (6-7pm)
Explore Modern Bachata with Emily and develop new movement, technique and possibilities for your partner dancing.

It’s always exciting to welcome visiting dance artists to the Annapolis Valley and give our local dance community opportunities to learn from instructors from across Canada.

Space is limited, so advance registration is encouraged.

Many of you know me as a professional dancer, but music has always been a huge part of my life. 🎶

As a jazz vocalist, I've had the privilege of performing on luxury cruise ships around the world and at jazz festivals and venues across Canada, Australia, and Hong Kong. This week, I'm singing somewhere very special and it's right here at home in Nova Scotia. ❤

Joined by the incredibly sweet and OH SO TALENTED Peter Davison on guitar, I'll be performing some Latin-jazz, originals, and summertime classics at Bent Ridge Winery this Friday.

The music is FREE and the food and libations are TASTY, so come on out! We'd love to see some new and familiar faces. Everyone is welcome!
