Sharing a few of our favourite free resources!!

Freesound.org : royalty free sound effects you can use in your projects.
✨✨✨
IMSLP : find sheet music for all the classical music you want to learn. Download and view on a tablet or print.
✨✨✨
Reaper : if you’re interested in making your own music, Reaper stays free even after the first 30 days. All you have to do is wait to be able to close the pop up window.
✨✨✨
Spitfire audio labs : find free VSTs that you can use on Reaper to create different sounds (Erik has a whole orchestra pack he uses).
✨✨✨
Hooktheory : look up a song you’re learning to find the chords and progress analysis and see songs that use the same progression. This can help with your ear training and give ideas about songs that work for mashups.
✨✨✨
Musescore : if you want to notate your own music, Musescore has several templates and customizable options to write your music in sheet music. I’ve used this for transposing music, making simplified versions of songs for students, and making transcriptions.
