Splash CC - Random Acts of Kindness 💛
CC children took part in a special random act of kindness! They started by preparing some fresh zucchini from our Community Garden. They helped shred the zucchini, and together we gathered some cucumbers to share with our EC site. Children were excited to deliver our fresh garden vegetables and share the abundance from our garden with others.
CC then thought of another way they could spread kindness. Since our new centre, Faraday Satellite, is just beginning its adventures, the children decided to make some homemade Play-Doh for them to enjoy! They packed up the gifts and headed out on a little adventure.
Their first stop was the EC site, where they dropped off our fresh vegetables and were warmly greeted by Sharon at the gate. They then continued the journey to deliver the homemade Play-Doh to the new centre. While they were there, CC took the opportunity to explore their outdoor playground and enjoy some time playing together.
It was a wonderful day of giving, sharing, exploring, and spreading kindness throughout our community! Children were proud to see how their thoughtful actions could bring a little happiness to others. 💛

Today, Splash Faraday Satellite Centre officially opened its doors to our children! 🎉

A warm welcome and congratulations to everyone who helped make this day possible. Children were already enjoying their first day, exploring their new space, and even had a special visit from CC!

We’re excited for all the learning, laughter, and memories that will be made here. 💙

Splash Brown Buffaloes - Forest School Recap🥰

One of the favourite activities ever is a tree climbing💛 Children did the risk assessment before, learned about balancing, and connected with the nature!

Buffaloes were surprised by a rain, so they took shelter under the tree canopy. Reflected on a perfect window the tree trunks provided and starting throwing some sticks in the creek. Also noticed the berry tree. They went on a foraging hunt to look for different kinds of berry/fruit trees.

Children found a beautiful big old tree, they decided to be back to measure to estimate age. Thought about how long it’s been here and what that tree would have witnessed!

A lightly rainy day today, set up our camp with extra coverage to stay dry. Explored under the bridge. Children love throwing rocks, sticks, small pebbles in and seeing the splashes, ripples the different sizes make. Noticed the ripples went really far when it was a big stone thrown in. Buffaloes went deeper into a tree clearing and found a neat spot with unique trees, and fallen branches. Children named the unique tree “castle tree.” They were moving the branches all over, noticing the different sizes and weights of them.

The Splash Faraday Satellite Centre will be hosting an Open House on Wednesday, August 19, 2026, from 3:30 PM to 5:00 PM.

If you are currently on our waiting list or are a CC family transferring to the FS location, we would love to welcome you. Come tour the centre, meet our team, and ask any questions you may have.

Splash ULC - Forest School Week 1 Recap 🌳🚌
Week 1 of Forest School was full of adventure! Children were excited to explore the creek and loved showing educators every little critter they found. They spent time observing them closely before carefully returning them to their homes.

Throughout the week, children challenged themselves to try new things, including walking knee-deep in the creek. They worked through challenges, solved problems, and supported one another along the way.

One of the highlights was building a five-star (flameless) fire together. It took a lot of teamwork and coordination, and children were very proud to sit around it and enjoy their lunch.

During a walk past the play structure at Bunn’s Creek, one child asked if we were going to use the swings. Another child quickly replied, “It’s much better to make your own swing!” Moments like these show the creativity and confidence that Forest School helps children develop.
