🎸 Foundations of Guitar — Saturdays at 2:30 PM With Victor Hugo Lopez Bustamante — 20+ years of performance and a gift for making beginners feel at home.

🥁 Foundations of Percussion — Saturdays at 3:30 PM With Ramiro Sepulveda — feel the groove, build the rhythm, have the best hour of your week.

✍️ Foundations of Songwriting — Saturdays at 1:30 PM With Victor Hugo Lopez Bustamante & Chantal Kuegle, alternating weekly — turn the ideas in your head into actual songs.

🎵 The Foundations Series is here — and we couldn't be more excited to share it with Winnipeg.

Every Saturday at Good Sky Studio, we're running four beginner-friendly group classes across singing, guitar, percussion, and songwriting. Whether you've always wanted to try an instrument, or you just want a joyful new way to spend your Saturday mornings — this is for you.

No experience needed. No auditions. No judgment. Just show up and make music.

Here's the lineup:

🎤 Foundations of Singing — 11:00 AM
Led by Chantal Kuegle, one of Winnipeg's most gifted vocal educators. Chantal holds a Master's in Vocal Pedagogy and has coached singers from Winnipeg to Nashville to Hong Kong. In the Foundations class she brings all of that expertise to beginners — and makes it feel like the most natural thing in the world.

🎸 Foundations of Guitar — 2:30 PM
Led by Victor Hugo Lopez Bustamante, a jazz-trained guitarist and performer with over two decades of experience. Victor has a gift for meeting students exactly where they are and making the guitar feel accessible from day one.

🥁 Foundations of Percussion — 3:30 PM
Led by Ramiro Sepulveda. Whether you've never touched a drum kit or just want to finally learn what you've been tapping on tables your whole life — Ramiro will have you in the groove faster than you think.

✍️ Foundations of Songwriting — 1:30 PM
Led by Victor Hugo Lopez Bustamante & Chantal Kuegle rotating each week. Do you have ideas for songs but don't know where to start? This class is your starting point. No music theory required — just ideas and a willingness to create.

CA$25 per class. Small groups. Every Saturday. All levels welcome.

meet Ramiro Sepulveda. 🥁

we are so excited to welcome to the Good Sky Studio family as our newest instructor — and honestly, we couldn't be more thrilled about what he brings to this space.

Ramiro is a first generation Chilean Canadian musician, born in Regina to a family of musicians and artists. he picked up the drums at 5 years old at a rehearsal of his father's band — playing Spanish and Chilean 1950's rock and cumbia — and never really stopped.

his musical world spans an incredible range — from traditional Latin American folk music and Afro-Cuban rhythms to R&B, hip hop, modern trap and more. that breadth isn't just impressive, it's what makes him such a gifted teacher.

his passion for Afro-Cuban and Afro-Caribbean music led him to specialize in congas (tumbadoras) and percussion instruments from the Caribbean, Latin America and Africa. over more than three decades of playing, he's performed with some incredible names — Papa Mambo, Amber Epp, Victor López, Marco Castillo, Curubande, Dr. Henry, Larry Roy and more.

he's also been sharing the art and traditions of Afro-Cuban percussion with students across Canada for years, and we are so glad that work is now happening right here at Good Sky.
