Chef Jérôme’s path into baking didn’t begin as a straight line.
Before entering the culinary world, he originally envisioned a very different future. But early exposure to professional pastry training in Strasbourg, France, introduced him to a level of discipline, structure, and craftsmanship that would go on to define his entire career.
From a young apprenticeship in a historic pastry shop established in 1927, he was immersed in an environment where precision mattered, respect for ingredients was expected, and consistency was non-negotiable.
That foundation carried him through a career that includes experience in high-level professional kitchens and internationally recognized hospitality environments.
Today, Chef Jérôme brings that same philosophy into the classroom at Commonwealth College—helping students understand that baking is not only a technical skill, but a craft built on patience, discipline, and repetition.
Learning from real industry experience changes how students approach their own potential in the kitchen.
