We’re proud to share that eight MITT students travelled to Toronto last week to represent Manitoba at the Skills Canada National Competition (SCNC).

Each year, over 500 students from across Canada attend the SCNC to compete in 40+ skilled trades and technology categories. To qualify, they must win gold in their provincial or territorial competition.

Congratulations to our competitors for the hard work they put into preparing for this moment.

Miigwetch! Ekosani! Maarsi! Thank you to everyone who joined us for our annual Pow Wow last week.

With an incredible turnout, the space was alive throughout the day with celebration, creativity, and culture.

Thank you to the vendors who shared their beautiful art, and to the dancers, drummers, and singers for the powerful gift of song and movement.

And to everyone who attended—thank you for helping us celebrate and honour our Indigenous students.

RRC Polytech and MITT have been working diligently to complete an academic program review of all MITT programs as we work collaboratively on the transitional process to RRC Polytech.

We are pleased to share that the academic program review is complete and that nineteen MITT programs will be offered as RRC Polytech programs beginning this Fall for the 2026-27 academic year.

Nearly all programs identified to move forward will continue to be offered at the South Winnipeg Campus, ensuring access remains for the community.

Stirring up support for a great cause, one bowl at a time. 🍲

Last week, we had the opportunity to host the Culinary Federation Winnipeg at our Henlow Campus for their Stone Soup Junior Chef Competition.

The fundraising event, in support of the Children's Nutrition Council of Manitoba, had teams of students and junior chefs from across the city compete for best soup in show.

Our own MITT Culinary students debuted their chicken tortilla soup—yum!

Congratulations to all involved in this successful event!
