A non-profit organization, IEEE is the world’s leading professional association for the advancement of technology. The IEEE name was originally an acronym for the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, Inc. Today, the organization’s scope of interest has expanded into so many related warehouse sale fields, that it is simply referred to by the letters I-E-E-E (pronounced Eye-triple-E).

The local branch at RRC supports Electrical, Electronics, and Computer Engineering related projects. Throughout the IEEE lab located at the Red River College Building, students can work on their lab assignments, and class projects in their own time. In addition the branch organizes technical field trips to different engineering companies in the city allowing members to be aware and up to date of the local industry needs and requirements.
