What does a day in Kindergarten look like?
Every day is filled with learning, laughter, creativity, movement, and faith.
From morning devotions and music class to hands-on learning centers, outdoor recess, Choice Time, art projects, gym, and Bible, our Kindergarten students stay engaged all day long in a nurturing and joyful environment.
We love watching students grow academically, socially, and spiritually throughout the year.
We still have spots available in Kindergarten for the 2026-27 school year. Contact us today to set up a private tour.

Last week our elementary campus had a mobile classroom set up to teach our grade 3 and 4 classes. Seed Survivor by Nutrien is a curriculum-based program that teaches elementary children about plants and the importance of agriculture.
Students explored multi-media and virtual reality games, a sunflower seed planting station, talking walls and much more. Students spent half the presentation outside the trailer in a guided plant nutrient lesson and half the presentation inside the trailer playing each station.
Students also had the opportunity to plan two sunflowers seeds and take them home.

Choosing a school for your children is a big decision and we’re so grateful for the families who trust us with their children each year.
"We joined the Calvin elementary campus 4 years ago and it's been an incredible experience for all 3 of our children. The community feel of the school was immediately apparent. The educators and support staff all go above and beyond to create a nurturing and stimulating environment. They have genuine and keen interest in our children's academic, spiritual and personal wellbeing."
- Tyler & Kori, CCS parents

This spring, the Grade 5 classes participated in a walking tour at The Forks National Historic Site. We were guided by former Calvin principal, Hank Vande Kraats. He shared the history of the area, including the fur trade forts that were located nearby, changes to the landscape and infrastructure that have occurred over time, and the historical significance of many of the sites we often see but don't really take the time to notice.
This tour fits perfectly with our Social Studies curriculum, which teaches the history of Canada until Confederation in 1867. It also gives students a new appreciation for their own city and the history that has shaped it.

On Tuesday, March 12th, six grade 12 Outdoor Ed. students competed in the 2nd Annual Manitoba High School Adventure Race at Grand Beach.
In teams of 3, students have a half hour to study a map and plan a course to find 14 checkpoints. Then, the race begins! Travelling by foot, bike, and canoe, students use their mapping and compass skills to reach all checkpoints as fast as possible.
Congrats to Peter Douma, Sam Halbesma, and Malachi Jansen who finished 5th overall in the province!
