Cataloging & Classification Quarterly - Volume 53, Issue 5-6 08/10/2015

Guest editors, Ann M. Doyle, University of BC and Cheryl A. Metoyer, University of Washington are pleased to announce a special double issue of Cataloging & Classification Quarterly devoted to Indigenous Knowledge Organization.

The issue offers an international and interdisciplinary dialogue about Indigenous approaches to organizing and sharing Indigenous expressions of knowledge held in libraries, archives, and museums. It includes theoretical and applied research from New Zealand, Canada, and the United States on knowledge representation, classification, and metadata in Indigenous contexts. In 2016, we expect that it will be published as a book. Thanks to Sandra Roe, CCQ Editor in Chief, for the invitation.

Taylor & Francis have provided FREE online access for a limited time. Please see below for the links to the articles and authors or visit

Thank you to all the delegates for attending! IILF only happens because people gather together to share their knowledge. The livestream will be available for approximately 4 weeks in the archive if you are interested. We are still trying to raise funding to make a finished product. Any donation toward that endeavour are welcome! We hope to see you all at the University of Sydney in 2017 for the 10th IILF then in New Zealand in 2019.
