Café Baby Brar!

We got to celebrate the amazing .28 and as they get ready to welcome their baby boy!

28 and I had so much fun developing all the little details for this cafe!

The event was held where they did a fabulous job, serving beverages, mimosas, a waffle bar and some cafe bites!

We also had the amazing serving three different stuffed naans! (This was one of my highlights, it was so delicious!)

For the Chai bar we had serving two delicious Chas!

Of course we could never do it without our event partners, that truly make the ideas come to life!

When one of your besties calls and says, “Umm… so Avaan’s birthday…” you already know I’m in. Love you my girl

Kris wanted a festival vibe for Avaan’s first birthday.

I had come across this really cool branding concept that had actually been rejected for a kids brand, and I thought… wait a second… this could be amazing. Using black as the base colour for a first birthday felt unexpected and interesting, and we decided to run with it.

From there the ideas just kept coming.

We made festival tags for all the kids, and they could go around to different stations and get stamps like a real festival experience. We even created a take-out window for the food with Partyholic, which was such a fun touch.

And of course we had to end the afternoon properly; with a DJ, bubbles, and lights so the kids could have their own little dance party.

Safe to say… when Kris and I start planning together, things escalate quickly. And honestly, we wouldn’t have it any other way.

When designing a room, I’m thinking about what guests will feel before they even know why.

The glow of candlelight reflecting off glass.
Florals that feel sculptural instead of predictable.
Linens, lighting, and small details working together so the room feels immersive.

It’s a bit like composing a scene in a film. Nothing is random. Every layer has a role; building atmosphere, guiding the eye, and shaping the experience.

Good design isn’t just decoration.
It’s a carefully developed composition, thinking through each piece.

And when the layers come together just right… the whole room starts to feel cinematic.

Huge shoutout to Mel from for bringing me in on this gorgeous wedding, always love teaming up with her and honestly… working with the team at Buffalo Crossing is always such a dream.

We kept it chic and dramatic with elegant black place cards, warm tones, and just the right amount of sparkle. A few glass cylinders, lush blooms, and that black-on-beige moment… and suddenly the whole room felt magical.

Proof that sometimes you don’t need more… you just need the right details…
