Ride for Impact Paves the Way 🚴

Thank you Senior Years students and supportive LCS community! By biking and walking on May 29, we raised $17,344 (and counting!) to support Impact Ministries in Guatemala. ✨

These funds are going directly toward life-changing initiatives:
👉 Funding vital school meal programs 🍎
👉 Installing solar panels to bring sustainable energy to classrooms ☀️

We are incredibly proud of our students' hard work and overwhelmed by the generosity of our community. Want to help them push the total even higher? The donation page is open until June 5!

Our Senior Years Spring Band & Jazz Concert featured special guests (Grade 7-8 Honour Band and LCS alumni). Other highlights included student solos, an original student worship composition, and the CancerCare Manitoba / Manitoba Band Association initiative "Wave of Light".

Thank you to our Senior Years Band teacher Bobbie Fast, our Performing Arts team, and to all our supporting staff and parents.

Then and now....

Talk about a walk down memory lane! Seven years ago, students in Mrs. Gibbons’ Grade 5 class spent the entire school year designing, engineering, and building a fully functioning go-kart from scratch. This week, our soon-to-be grads gathered in the exact same hallway to recreate their original class photo alongside their masterpiece.

The project began with just two donated bicycles, which the "5Gers" stripped down to parts. Through plenty of trial, error, and creative problem-solving, they figured out the mechanics of steering and mobility—even upcycling a broken classroom chair to serve as the driver's seat! Thanks to the expert guidance of some incredibly skilled parents, the vision came to life.

The project wrapped up that year with every student getting to race the go-kart across the school field. Even our former Head of School/CEO, Rob Charach, took it for an iconic spin down the hallway!

A special thank you goes to Brooklyn’s family, who generously kept the go-kart safe in storage for seven years so this heartwarming reunion could happen.

We are so proud of the ingenuity, teamwork, and lasting bonds of this class. Congratulations to the Class of 2026!

(We missed you in the photo, Adam and Preston!)

Grade 5-8 LCS choirs and honour choirs performed for guests at "Voices of Wonder" on May 21. From worship songs, to contemporary pieces, to musical numbers... the 2026 choral showcase truly allowed our students to shine.

Middle Years Choir Director Janna Reid created a fun and playful repertoire for our Performing Arts students. Bravo - what a fantastic spring concert!

Our 2025-2026 Patrol Team!

LCS patrols protect our school community during the morning and afternoon drive thru and help students develop sound habits around traffic. They are given opportunities to grow in areas of leadership and citizenship.

They are also EXCEPTIONALLY BRAVE during the cold weather months.

Thank you PATROLS for your dependability, responsibility and commitment!
