We've decided to continue sharing Teachings on Tuesdays and this week we are highlighting the Medicine Wheel Teachings. The Medicine Wheel has many lessons for us to learn, and this post touches on some of them.
It's important to remember that with all teachings come variations in story. There is space for more than one interpretation, and the way the teaching resonates with your Spirit tells you which version is right for you.
The Medicine Wheel Teaching:
The Medicine Wheel has four connecting parts that are needed to work together to create the whole. The interconnectedness of the four sections reminds us that we are also all interconnected and dependent on one another for balance and to feel centered.
The white section represents the north, the night, the winter, sweetgrass medicine, our mental bodies and the Elder stage of life.
The yellow section represents the east, the morning, the spring, to***co medicine, our spiritual bodies and the Baby stage of life.
The red section represents the south, the afternoon, the summer, cedar medicine, our emotional bodies, and the Youth stage of life.
The black section represents the west, the evening, autumn, sage medicine, our physical bodies, and the Adult stage of life.
If you're comfortable sharing, let us know in the comments how you like to use the Medicine Wheel to maintain your internal balance.
I can start; I like to use the Medicine Wheel while I do my daily journaling.
