Music for Young Children has been providing high quality group lessons for children since 1980. Classes are from 4-6 students and each child attends with a parent/caregiver. There are four different entry levels for children ages 2.5-3.5, 3.5-5, 5-7 and 7-10. Classes are from 45 minutes to 1 hour once a week and run from September/October through until May when we celebrate a wonderful music year

with a recital. Classes follow an Up/Down format specifically designed for the attention span of young children and include many different activities including keyboard, singing, music games, composition, theory, ear-training, solfege, rhythm ensembles and listening activities. Graduates of the program are fully prepared to take the Royal Conservatory Grade One piano exam. Additional programs are also available for use in daycare/preschool settings, along with classes/lessons for adults and children over age ten.
