The courtroom skit from A Black Lady Sketch Show uses humor to highlight a deeper reality: Black women are still too often underrepresented in spaces of leadership, professionalism, and influence.
We celebrate these moments while continuing to work toward a future where our presence in every room is expected, valued, and unquestioned.

Celebrating years at Government House was nothing short of powerful.
We are deeply grateful to everyone who joined us to honour this milestone and the legacy of the Congress of Black Women of Manitoba. Your presence, support, and continued belief in our work mean more than words can express.
A truly special highlight of the evening was having some of our founding members in attendance, the very women whose vision, courage, and dedication laid the foundation for everything we continue to build today. Being able to celebrate alongside them was both humbling and inspiring.
As we reflect on how far we’ve come, we are even more excited about where we are going. We look forward to sharing our strategic plan soon as we continue to grow, evolve, and deepen our impact in the community.
Here’s to legacy, to community, and to many more years of purpose driven work! 🫶🏾
