I need to give a well deserved shout out to Apex Judo here in Winnipeg!

I had the privilege of training there and it was genuinely one of the best experiences I've had on the mat in a long time.

Patrick and Bryant are technically excellent, but what sets them apart is how they teach. Sharing, laughing, no egos despite the obvious talent in the room. They make you better without making you feel small.

The students matched that energy completely. Welcoming, willing to share what they know, and plenty of laughs, but make no mistake, it IS serious training. They've built something rare there, a club that balances hard work and technical depth with a laid back, positive atmosphere, and somehow manages to keep both without losing either.

The youth class was a joy to watch. The instructors looked like they were having just as much fun as the kids, genuinely engaged, motivating every student to do their best. Definitely not just filling time but enjoying the work they do.

I don't give recommendations lightly. Apex Judo has earned this one. If you or your kids are looking for a Judo club in Winnipeg, I don't think you will find better than Apex Judo. Thanks guys, hope to see you again this fall!! 😎

Hello all!

I know it's been a minute, hope everyone is well!! We are still training at 1777 portage until we get back to full schedule. In the meantime, I have had an amazing opportunity to do some more Boxing, and wanted to share.

If you're serious about competing, and looking for somewhere real to train, this is for you. Boxing ring, lots of heavy bags & equipment, and a serious coach with 30 years behind him at the national level.

They're doing a free two-week trial to find their core group before a full September launch.

Happy Summer to Everyone!! Once again we have been slacking in the Social Media Department, but not our Jiu-Jitsu! We will be making several post over the next few days, as we owe several people and organizations their fair credit, and many, many thank you's, especially to those that continue to like, follow, and share our content. We will be closing our main location for the rest of summer, as we renovate and get ready for our NEW location in September! Our senior students will be continuing training in private groups around the city and province, so if you really need your Jiu-Jitsu fix, contact us and we will get you connected with classes. We also plan to do a mini-tour around the province this summer, so look for those announcements. Have a safe & happy summer, we hope to see you on the beaches and in the parks

We hope everyone had a safe and happy winter season!! We are excited to see the snows starting to thaw, and grass starting to show. as we get ready for the Spring term (Mar / Apr / May).

This March we continue our B-LINE Self-Defence program at St.Charles Catholic School, as well as through C.N.I.B. Our Spring term Starts March 1st, with regular B-LINE & Jiu-JITSU classes at the Den. In April we will be in Niverville for the ASC Accessible Sport seminar, last year was amazing, we are so proud to support this incredible event!

April we are honoured to be hosting a visit from our founder, C.D. BISSETT, and are working hard for the belt testing then. May see our wrap and and grading ceremonies as we close out the term.

We are working on many other exciting projects, and will be announcing them when finalized, including a Kubaton seminar, StrikeBack & Streetproof Seminar, and a special training opportunity with C.D. BISSETT. Thanks again to everyone who makes this possible, we could not exists without the dedication of students, parents, instructors, and all you who support our social media, you are the reason

A special thank you to the Students, Parents, and BASC program at St.Charles Catholic School for supporting us over the many years. We have had a lot of fun, and grown in many ways. We are excited to see the students taking ownership of the program, and beginning to instruct their fellow students. The cycle of Jiu-Jitsu continues!!
