Last Thursday, August 27, marked the final day of our Children’s Reading Circle series, and we’re happy to share that the program wrapped up on a wonderful note!

We hope the children of our graduate student community had a fun, engaging, and memorable time throughout the series.

UMGPS is hiring an Executive Director.

This is Full-time, permanent position.

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced leader to support the effective operation and long term continuity of UMGPS while working closely with the President, Executive Committee, Board of Directors, and staff.

Salary: $74,510.80 annually

Application deadline: September 11, 2026 at 4:00 p.m. (Winnipeg time)

UMGPS Student Awards 2026 – Applications Now Open

UMGPS is offering:

3 Doctoral awards of $16,000
3 Master’s awards of $12,000
2 part-time Master’s/Doctoral awards of $5,000

Applicants must submit two reference letters: one from an academic advisor and one from a community leader.

Applications will be assessed based on research impact, leadership and initiative, and community service.

Deadline: September 15, 2026

Apply through the Student Nomination Form and Student Reference Letters Form.
