International Interior Landscaper Day is plants@work’s initiative in cooperation with American and Australian partners and is designated to celebrate all interior landscaping professionals. This year the day is marked on Wednesday, 17th of April. and in the future on the 3rd Wednesday in April. Interior landscaping is the practice of designing, installing, and maintaining greenery and biophilic elements inside buildings.

It was an honour for Air Strength Canada (and our family Rod, Barbara, and Elliott Bennett) to participate and support as a major campaign donor in THE LEAF - Canada’s Diversity Gardens capital campaign, as well, to present a replica Diamond Award to the Assiniboine Park & Zoo - Assiniboine Park Conservancy(APC) staff.

Air Strength Canada received the prestigious Diamond Award in the ‘Living Wall’ category for the project titled 'Living Walls’ at Canada's Diversity Gardens which was presented at the 2023 International Plantscape Awards gala that took place on January 19, 2023 in Tampa, FL, in which this is the highest level in the International Plantscape Awards competition specialized as the ‘Judges Award’. We wanted to share our gratitude with supplying a replica Diamond Award to both the Assiniboine Park Conservancy and The Asper Foundation who also made great contributions and support in order for our company to design and build these amazing green walls.

Air Strength Canada was honoured with the DIAMOND Award in the ‘Living Wall’ category for the project titled 'Living Walls at Canada's Diversity Gardens' which was presented at the 2023 International Plantscape Awards gala that took place on January 19, 2023 in Tampa, FL. This is the highest level in the International Plantscape Awards competition specialized as the ‘Judges Award’.

The new conservatory ‘Canada’s Diversity’s Gardens’ which is located at THE LEAF at the Assiniboine Park & Zoo is now the newest building of its kind in North America. The building features an ETF clear roof system that is very rare in the world. The building is located in Winnipeg, Canada and is exposed to very harsh winter conditions and beautiful hot summers. The brand-new state of the art conservatory has been built in one of the harshest climates in the world.

A total of 34 weeks of grow time was required to grow the 7,284 plants required to complete all 6 greenwalls.

This conservatory boasts green walls on the first and second floors. A total of 5 individual green walls on the second floor, all joined by the plant design greets guests for upscale banquets and events.

The main floor 1350 sq ft green wall shown in the video features:
-4984 individual, 6" plants amongst a plant pallet, spanning 8 species creating a magical experience for visitors to this conservatory.

This is the epitome of biophilic design! The star of the show is the main floor curved greenwall in the display biome. The green wall system chosen was the GSky Versa system and GSky Versa snap system for the large green wall.

This project was an opportunity to ‘THANK’ the city who has supported our company since its inception, which inspired us to also come on board as a major capital campaign donor for this great initiative. Air Strength Canada would also like to give a few special thanks to the Assiniboine Park Conservancy and their amazing team, The Asper Foundation, Corbett Architecture, BIRD Construction, and Bruce Jensen Nursery.
