Absolutely incredible competition. A years worth of hard work and late nights led to a 1st place finish for the second year in a row. 1st place mission score, 2nd place Design Report, and 3rd place Technical Presentation resulting in a 1st place overall finish and it couldnt have been done without each and every team member who put effort and time into the project. Congratulations to Nanjing Univ of Aeronautics and the University of Virginia for placing 2nd and 3rd, and thank you to all the volunteers who made sure this event ran as well as it did. Looking forward to seeing all the teams next year.

After day 1 in the competition, we are headed into the flight rounds... 1st overall! With a score of 45.44 in the design presentation (3rd overall), and 46.36 in design report (1st overall), and 2 planes passed successfully through technical inspection, Polar Air is in great shape for the rest of the weekend and super excited to start flying.

Prototype plane coming along 👌

This weekend, the team flew with our initial design 50% scale prototype. This gives us insight into our design and allows us to make modifications early on without investing time and material into a full scale prototype. The plane flew beautifully and we are looking forward to the full scale prototype design and build!
