It’s great to be working on new bass technique in lessons, and preparing to utilize these in performance in a couple of weeks!
Our Stage Stars group have been working on choreography and learning how to move in unison to create a really effective performance ✨
Dance is also a fantastic tool for building rhythm, timing and coordination, making it a valuable part of music learning too. Feeling and understanding the beat helps develop musical skills while having lots of fun along the way! 🎶💃
When getting started in piano lessons, occasionally it works out for the new family to borrow one of our digital pianos (88 weighted keys, proper pedal, etc). Having a quality instrument in place gives the new family time to search for a high-quality, second-hand instrument… and wait for a good deal! We even help them with their search. And that whole time, the student is more excited to do their best practice at home (moreso than if playing on a cheap keyboard). Once the new family has their own piano in place, this one will be returned to CEMA to find a new home!
Elaina enjoys playing Rhonda by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart! It’s fun to put expression into the music to make it more charismatic!
The kids have been running to my door today, eager to see what prize they won in the Super Mario Challenge! This week, parents are reminded to register for the recital/final group class. Next week is our final week of private lessons, preparing for our June 7th Recital!
