I Love To Read Month as a Minister has been a bit tricky to schedule but well worth the effort! It was teachers and early childhood educators who nurtured my love for reading as a child. That extra bit of support made all the difference in my life. As an MLA, it’s an honour to not only carry that forward but to also donate great books in the process! Big thanks to the ECEs who welcome me to their daycares and for all they do to foster a love a reading with kids in Union Station 📚🧡🙌🏾 Happy I Love To Read Month, folks!

Fun projects for a local daycare... Reading/lounging tent, a cube fort and a outdoor kitchen.

Best part apart this project is the kids we're in that cube before it even hit the floor. Fits 10, 2 to 3 year olds. 😂

June 23 2022 UPDATE

We have flooring!
It’s been a long time - 6 months- since we last used our main play space. We are getting excited about how we can set up the new-look space that would best represent the child’s needs and curiosities. We are planning for function and beauty.
Next step is toilets and sinks, then re-installing our permanent furniture. Then, the boxes are returned to us from being in storage for 3 months.

NIIGAANAKI DAY CARE CENTRE will be CLOSED due to a major flood from Wednesday, January 5 to Friday, January 7, 2022.
The centre will need major work done to repair the damage. Will post more information as it comes.
