The first St. John's High School parent gathering, known as Parent Advisory Council, is officially scheduled for Wednesday, October 7, 2026.

Free Youth Transit Pass.

🚌 Starting this school year, students in Grades 6 to 12 will receive a free transit pass as part of a new provincial program in partnership with the City of Winnipeg.

📌Passes will be distributed through schools in a staged rollout:
📅 September 8: Grades 11 and 12
📅 September 23: Grades 9 and 10
📅 September 29: Grades 6, 7 and 8

💡 A few things to remember:
•Passes are valid for one year and expire August 31, 2027.
•Passes are non-transferable and are for the student they are issued to.
•Students in Grades 10 to 12 are encouraged to carry their student ID with their pass.

Winnipeg School Division (WSD) Superintendent Matt Henderson will be joining our PAC - Parent / Community Meeting to answer all questions on the dissolved partnership with The Schroeder Foundation. Approx. 5 million gone annually, which supported St. John’s and 12+ other schools.

Parents/Community - join us, in a safe environment, to ask questions, raise concerns and have your voice be heard.

Time: Thursday, May 7, 2026 from 5:00 - 6:15 p.m.

Location: 401 Church Ave - St. John's High School Cafeteria

School Closure - Monday,
February 9, 2026

Due to a threat in the neighbourhood, St. John's High School is closed this morning out of an abundance of caution. Students and staff should not report to school.
