It was an honour to have Niigaan James Sinclair here at St John's College today to deliver the Jay Newman lecture for the Canadian Theological Society. The lecture was entitled “Why Jesus would wear an Orange Shirt: 5 Calls to Churches in Canada” and was about just how big the love of Jesus is, even despite the Church’s failures to recognize it.

Here are some reminders about when you’ll receive a notification from us, eligibility requirements and reference deadlines!

With St John’s College scholarship deadlines coming up on June 1st, this is your reminder that you do not need to have perfect grades or the “greatest” financial need to apply!
Our applications are designed to give you space to share your story and explain your circumstances beyond what appears on paper.
Your first year grades weren’t up to par with your second year grades? That’s okay! Tell us why. You weren’t able to participate in extracurriculars because life was busy or challenging? We understand, let us know what was going on.
Everything shared with the scholarship committee is completely confidential. At the end of the day, submitting an application is always better than not applying at all.
