Technical Vocational High School, is the leading vocational high school in the West End of Winnipeg, Manitoba. Tec Voc was founded in the 1950s by the Winnipeg School Division with the goal of creating the top technical high school in the province of Manitoba. Tec Voc is located in the City of Winnipeg, in the West End. Tec Voc offers an outstanding vocational program and is a leader in Canadian e

ducation. Today Tec-Voc remains one of the most active, creative schools in Canada combining the excellence of our technical programs with the opportunities for students to pursue their academic dreams. Our commitment to career education, essential skills and Workplace Safety and Health prepare our students for strong futures. The Tec Learning Centre, our Study Skills program and the Tec-Voc Scholarship and Education Fund support them in their learning. Activities such as Tec-Voc Speaks, Dance Tec Company, DECA, the annual elementary school Christmas Party, the Life Bus, Tec Intramurals, the annual Arts celebration, Career Fair, Mentorship programs, Skills Canada and the Fun and Field day round out the students’ lives providing motivation and spirit. Alumni who wish to keep abreast of happenings at the school are encouraged to access the Tec-Voc website at www.tecvoc.ca. We have much to be proud of and we are continually improving our means of letting people know it. In terms of physical size Tec is the largest high school in Manitoba, it has a population of around 1400 students and is in the top 5 for student population in the province.

YEARBOOK UPDATE

We have received an update from our publisher regarding the 2025–26 Tec-Voc Yearbook.

The yearbooks are scheduled to be printed on July 13, which means they will not be available before the end of the school year. All pre-ordered yearbooks will be available for pickup when school reopens in September. We will share pickup dates and times closer to the start of the school year.

A limited number of extra copies will also be available for purchase on a first come, first served basis once school resumes in September.

Thank you to everyone for your patience and support throughout this process. We can't wait for you to see the finished 2025–26 Yearbook—it's worth the wait!

📚 YEARBOOK UPDATE 📚

This year, we upped our game and created one of our best yearbooks yet!

The extra creativity, attention to detail, and student-driven design work meant the process took a wee bit longer than expected, but we believe the final result will be worth the wait.

The 2025–26 Tec-Voc Yearbook has now been submitted for printing, and our goal is to have yearbooks available by June 30, 2026.

We appreciate everyone's patience and support throughout the process. As soon as the yearbooks arrive, we will post updates on our social media channels and at tecvoc.ca.

The deadline to pre-purchase your 2025–2026 Tec-Voc Yearbook has been extended to Friday, June 12, 2026.

Yearbooks are $20.00 each and are available for purchase at the Stingers Store using cash or debit.

Important: Students who want to guarantee receiving a yearbook should pre-purchase one before the deadline. Only a limited number of extra yearbooks will be ordered, and once they are gone, they are gone.

🌎 Cultural Appreciation Day – Tomorrow! 🌎

Tomorrow is Cultural Appreciation Day as part of our Stronger Together Spirit Week.

👕 Dress-Up Theme: Wear Cultural Attire (optional and respectful)

Tec-Voc students will be attending the Winnipeg School Division Pow Wow, joining students from across the division in a celebration of Indigenous culture, traditions, and community.

The Pow Wow is an opportunity to learn, connect, and celebrate the rich cultures that help make our school and community stronger.

Thank you, Tec-Voc! All tickets for the Pie Your Teacher in the Face fundraiser are now SOLD OUT!

Winners will be drawn on Wednesday afternoon or Thursday morning. Be sure to listen to the daily announcements and follow our social media channels to find out if your name is selected.

We encourage all students and staff to wear their Pride colours or simply be yourself as we celebrate inclusion, belonging, and the diversity that makes our school community stronger.

PRIDE & INCLUSION DAY – TUESDAY, JUNE 2

As part of Stronger Together Spirit Week, the GSA invites students and staff to join us for a Drag Show during lunch in the Hornet Dome.

The event will feature local drag artists Ulala, Nila Ganda, and Jack Fish and is an opportunity to celebrate creativity, expression, and inclusion within our school community.

Students are encouraged to wear Pride colours or simply come as yourself.

Tomorrow kicks off our final Spirit Week of the school year — and we’re starting with **Community Awareness Day** in collaboration with Mr. Lomas and the Global Issues course.

👕 DRESS-UP THEME: **WEAR PURPLE*
Wear purple to show support and help raise awareness surrounding housing insecurity and homelessness in Manitoba.

💥 ALSO STARTING TOMORROW…
🎟️ **PIE YOUR TEACHER IN THE FACE TICKETS!**

Students can:
✅ Earn tickets by participating in Monday's daily spirit theme (wear purple!)

PIE YOUR TEACHER IN THE FACE

As part of Stronger Together Spirit Week, students will have the chance to decide which teacher receives a pie in the face while supporting an important cause.

Students can earn tickets by wearing purple on Monday, June 1, for Global Issues Day. Purple has been chosen to raise awareness about homelessness and the housing crisis, which is the focus of this year's fundraiser.

Additional tickets may be purchased for $1.00 each.
