Closing out 2024 with a kitchen update!
We’re holding off on major renovations for at least 10 years, but we wanted to brighten up our kitchen and make it feel more us—all while working with the existing features.
The kitchen functions well, but we didn’t love the dark cabinets or the hardware. And with the dark reddish-brown granite, finding the right updates was key.
Enter - they gave our cabinets a whole new life with a professional paint update. The cabinets were in great condition, so instead of replacing them, Spray-Net’s mini makeover was the perfect solution. They patched, painted, and updated the hardware seamlessly, all in just 2.5 days. It feels like we have a brand-new kitchen—without the stress of major construction!
If you’re considering a kitchen refresh with maximum impact and minimal hassle, I can’t recommend them enough. They’re a locally owned small business working so hard, and I’m so happy with the results. Reach out to Spray-Net via the link in my bio and mention my referral for a personalized touch!
What’s next for the kitchen?
• Updating the ceiling and lighting
• Finding the perfect stools
• A properly sized rug (for now, our $50 Facebook Marketplace find will do!)
Special shoutout to for helping us select the perfect paint colors and materials. Colors are hard, and working with a professional made all the difference! Highly recommend!
Stay tuned as we keep tweaking this space.

The last month has been a wonderful whirlwind of change.
I’m not sure I ever thought much about what my life at 45 would be - it’s better than my wildest dreams.
Feeling deeply grateful for my supportive family, community of friends who inspire me, amazing partner in life Bob, and this wonderful prairie place I get to call home. Every day is a pinch me moment. 🌾💛

Last night I was honoured to accept the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Medal at the Manitoba Legislative Building.
It was powerful to be surrounded by people who work every day to make our city and province better for all people with a devotion to community service. The collective energy of hope and change was palpable.
Community building has long been the heart of who I am and how I want to move through this world.
I am grateful for my family, friends and the endless support I’ve received throughout my life. No matter what I do - I am unconditionally loved and supported. A super power for any human - to be loved and supported by their community.
May we all work together to create that for all humans in this world.
I thank .stefanson and the honourable Anita Neville, Lieutenant Governor of Manitoba for the recognition.

So many great things can happen when you get outside to move.
To be honest, run club isn’t really about running. It’s about all the things around it.
👟 Movement to help shake off what’s on your mind
👟 Fresh air + fresh perspectives
👟 A break from the internet and screen time
👟 Learning to dress for the weather
👟 Empowerment over any weather forecast
👟 Seeing the world and the unexpected along every run
👟 Discovery of new trails in downtown Winnipeg
👟 Meeting new people in a no stakes environment
👟 Gentle support and belonging
💛 I am so proud of this run club and the community it’s built. Thank you, run clubbers.
