Autism Learning Centre Autism Learning Centre uses best practice teaching in order to prepare our students for greater success in school and in everyday situations.

At Autism Learning Centre we recognize all children are different. Therefore, we strive to create exceptional programming for our students that is research-based, individually tailored and goal oriented. We take great care in establishing and maintaining strong working relationships with families, providing ongoing communication and clear progress reports that foster a seamless circle of learning.

We offer a comprehensive selection of Skill Development Program classes that target essential skills needed in school, life and play. We also offer 1:1 DIRFloortime Therapy, Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) Therapy, and Music Therapy in our state-of-the-art facility delivered by experienced therapists. We have sourced some must-have tools and resources that we believe are useful for families, clinicians and schools that are available for purchase. We will also provide support to parents and family members through our monthly parent workshop evenings.

We are so fortunate to have Potoula working with our families in Pembina Trails School Division!

Pembina Trails' Senior Administration Team is pleased to announce the appointment of Potoula Locken as Assistant Superintendent, Inclusive Support Services effective August 4, 2026.

Potoula currently serves as the Director of Inclusion Support Services and Accessibility with St. James Assiniboia School Division, providing strategic leadership in inclusive education, accessibility, and multidisciplinary student support services. Her work is grounded in equity, ethical practice, and shared responsibility, ensuring that students and staff experience psychological, emotional, and physically safe learning environments. In addition to her divisional role, she is also an instructor in the Faculty of Education at the University of Winnipeg, contributing to the preparation and development of future educators.

Potoula’s career includes significant system level leadership experience, having previously worked in Educational Support Services, served as a Coordinator of Student Services, and held the role of school administrator. Across these positions, she has led initiatives that strengthen inclusive frameworks, promote evidence informed interventions, and build the capacity of teachers and administrators. Her leadership aligns closely with Pembina Trails’ commitment to creating environments where every student is personally and intellectually engaged in their learning.
