Today we look back at the career of Winnipeg native Vivian (King) Thompson!

In 1948 she was selected to represent Canada at the Olympic Games in London! In 1948 she also won the Canadian 400 metre freestyle title!

She was inducted into the Manitoba Sports Hall of Fame in 1984.

THROWBACK THURSDAY

Our highlight on this Thursday is Rhiannon Leier-Blacher!

She competed for Canada at both the 2000 and 2004 Summer Olympics!

In Canada, she won 13 Canadian titles and set four national senior records in the 50m and 100m breaststroke and the 4x50m medley relay!

She was inducted in the Manitoba Sports Hall of Fame in 2016.
