Kids notice more than we realize.. and often the small things we don’t think twice about. 🧠 💭
How we talk to ourselves.
How we handle stress.
How we treat others.
How we respond when things go wrong.
They’re learning from what we do just as much as what we say.
Not perfectly. Just honestly, in everyday moments.
And that’s where so much of their understanding of the world comes from. 💞

Remember: Compliance grows through connection, consistency, and clear expectations.. not bigger rewards. 🎁
Children are more likely to cooperate when they feel seen, capable, and know exactly what’s expected of them.

Something shifts when we begin to see big emotions and the challenging behaviors they can bring with this understanding.
Instead of a problem to fix, these moments become learning moments and a time to connect rather than punish.
This mind shift, from correction to connection, brings emotional safety.

Hello, happy gardening,
We're contacting you because you've participated or expressed interest in our gardening programs recently at Harvest Manitoba. Tomorrow Friday June 12 and this weekend we will have plants available to take for free on the sidewalk beside our community garden outdoors at 1095 Winnipeg Avenue. There is no cost for the plants and no need to talk to staff when you arrive. You can come at any time- as the plants are outside, there is no need to enter the building. Simply take home the plants you would like to grow. We are expecting a variety of vegetable plants, tomatoes, peppers...
Have a wonderful weekend!
