After an incredible 30 year career, our longtime teacher is heading into retirement, and we’re planning one final surprise to send her off in style: a bucket list trip to see the polar bears in Churchill! 🐾❄️ The adventure is already booked for November 2025, and we’re so excited to make it everything she’s dreamed of.

Instead of individual gifts, the REFENS Retirement Committee is coming together to make this trip a reality. From Parent’s Day to heartfelt Christmas surprises, Michelline has given so much to our families over the years, and now it’s our turn to give something unforgettable back. 💚

As you may have heard, our current teacher, Michelline Lamontagne, is retiring. We are now looking for an enthusiastic Teacher/Director to start in September 2025! If you're a dynamic Early Childhood Educator fluent in French, with a passion for educating young minds in preparation for kindergarten, we’d love to hear from you.

At REFENS we offer a quality nursery school experience where children are offered an introduction to the French language. The children who go through our program are prepared to face Kindergarten in either French or English.

If you’d like to find out more about us and see if we would be a good fit for your family, come visit us at our info night on January 28, in École Margaret Underhill School. Our 6:30 time slot has filled up, but we are looking at the possibility of opening another time slot at 6:00 PM.

As you may have heard, due to population constraints within Joseph Teres School, REFENS is being relocated. We are excited to announce our new location within École Margaret Underhill for the 2024-2025 school year! Having our program integrated in an immersion school will be a huge asset, and we are excited about the opportunities that will arise for the children in our program.

That being said, we still have spaces in our 3 year old program for the upcoming school year. If you are looking for a fun, yet educational, way to introduce your child to the French language, REFENS might be a good fit for you. The children who go through our program are prepared to face Kindergarten in either French or English, and because of this, REFENS is well recognized and has a wonderful reputation in the RETSD!
