.james_assiniboiasd Attention parents and community members: SJASD is holding an in-person Public Budget Meeting on Thursday, February 22, 2024 at 7 p.m. at the Board Office at 2574 Portage Avenue.

We encourage the public to attend this meeting and hear from the Board of Trustees on the draft budget for the 2024-25 school year. No registration is required.

Did you know we can read with our ears and eyes and fingers? Our grade 4/5s are reading by flashlight and also trying different audiobooks.

Next week is Staff Appreciation Week. Please take a moment to thank our amazing Stevenson staff. They pour their hearts and energy into students’ learning every day.

Did you know that February is also Inclusive Education Month? At Stevenson we connect and work to engage all our students academically, socially, and emotionally with their peers and in the classroom to the best of their abilities. All students can learn, make friends, and demonstrate the joy they feel at school.

Attn Caregivers: If you have a child that will be entering Kindergarten in September 2024, SJASD encourages you to attend one or both Kindergarten Registration Information Evenings to learn more about the registration process, Kindergarten programming options, and what to expect in the fall:

Feb. 5, 7pm (French Immersion)
Feb. 7, 7pm (English Program).
