The studio is now OPEN!
And so are this year's monthly challenges for students, teachers, and friends alike.
Every month will welcome a new theme. All you have to do is record yourself participating and tag me in the post. I'll then post it to my story for everyone to enjoy. This is a great way to get to know eachother outside of the studio and to support eachother's work.
Don't worry, I will also be posting myself!

Do you need a safe and supportive space to make music? Unfortunately, I don't often have free days where I can offer this, but this Thursday is available.

Please consider this, not just during a pandemic, but all the time. Staying healthy is so important. Keeping your cast and choir healthy is so important. Your voices will thank you for it.

All are welcome- conversations and processing is always welcome- this is how we thrive.

Who wants to learn about Schubert song cycles, Beethoven's impact on literally everything, F***y Mendelssohn being an underrated goddess, and also sing a lot of classic musical theatre?? (Bach and baroque performance practice included.)

This is so important. My studio is a safe space and a place where healing can happen. Please share this and know that I will always listen and I will understand.

Important words as you move forward with singing. Acceptance is key!

✨CELEBRATE your PROGRESS✨
I may not be the best plant mom, but I try.
The garden is starting to come together. I've booked my vaccine. I can't wait to have students come over again.
When that time comes, please feel free to come early and pull up a chair. Bring a lawn chair and read. If you're a parent waiting for your kiddo, feel free to wait in the garden.
I am so grateful for this little oasis and I am happy to share it with anyone who needs it for a little while. 🌻
I'm going to be sharing a series of "episodes" (essentially recorded parts of lessons) that highlight different techniques. These first few episodes will be discussing coloratura.
In this lesson I'm taking you behind the scenes as I work with mezzo soprano Stephanie Danielle Schmid on finding honest brightness and rhythmic freedom in coloratura.
These episodes will also highlight the fact that online lessons work. They may be different, but they are just as productive and informative as in person lessons.
If at any point you find yourself interested in learning more, please feel free to contact me about a free trial lesson!
Also, let's give a huge round of applause to Stephanie!! She has come so far and is a constant inspiration for me. This voice is one in a million!
