We are now offering in-person Baby Beats classes at the Manitoba Conservatory of Music & Arts in downtown Winnipeg (in addition to our satellite locations around Winnipeg)! Try out a class this summer on Tuesdays at 12:30 pm, or sign up for one of our Sunday classes this fall! In this early childhood music program, we focus on musical foundations and social skill development. Your baby will gain fine and gross motor skills, discover tempo and rhythm by dancing and playing with scarves or body percussion, and match pitch. Register today at mcma.ca/classes!

Are you looking for music🎵 lessons for your 4-6 year-old? Our Musical Foundations program is designed for children who are ready for private lessons, but haven’t chosen an instrument yet. With these 30 minute introductory music lessons, your child will gain exposure to singing, piano🎹, recorder, ukulele, and percussion🥁 instruments while developing skills in an individual setting. We explore concepts like steady beat, matching pitch, and learning to read rhythm to build a solid foundation for when your child is ready to take music lessons on their instrument of choice. SPOTLIGHT SUNDAY: Are you looking for a Musical Foundations instructor for your 4-6 year-old? Donna Orchard graduated from Brandon University with a Bachelor of Music with a major in applied voice. She then moved to Toronto, where she discovered her love of teaching early childhood music as well as writing, recording, and performing her songs in the indie music circuit. Donna is certified in RCM early childhood music, Kodaly and Orff, and she has more than 15+ years experience in teaching early childhood music. Donna believe that the most important thing for a child to take away from a music class is that it’s fun! She loves using music from all genres, and she wants her students to feel empowered to create.
