Room 7 students were invited to share their First Peoples Indigenous Informational books at the 4th Annual Pow Wow held at Tec Voc Highschool tomorrow, June 1st. The students will be in the student sharing tent from 11:00 -11:20 am and have created this beautiful project board to detail their process and have been practicing their interactive presentation. Please come out and share in your child's success as a published author!

This project board was created to detail the complete process the students went through before publishing their First Peoples Informational books. This will be displayed at the Pow Wow during their sharing session. The students will be sharing their books in an interactive presentation!

We at Weston School remember the missing and murdered Indigenous women, girls, and two-spirit people today on Red Dress Day. Thanks to for creating and providing red shirts to help acknowledge this day.

Weston patrol is at the Manitoba Moose playoff game! Thank you to the Moose for the tickets!

These students are learning about States of Matter in grade 1/2. They are learning to make hypothesis’, observing and developing conclusions on what they see! Future Scientists in the making!!

Hello Weston hawk families,

Happy New Years to you all! I wanted to wish you all the very best in 2023, I hope this year brings you good health and happiness! Today is the first day back for all of our Weston hawks and we look forward to seeing everyone at school. It is a full day for all students so we will be greeting everyone at the doors with a smile and a good morning greeting at 8:55 am. Please ensure that your child has on appropriate dress wear as we are fully facing our Winterpeg weather! Walking School Bus and lunch program will begin today as well for those who are involved. See you in the morning!

Please come join us in celebrating the season on Thursday, December 15th for our winter concert.

Doors open at 6:00 and the concert starts at 6:30.

Please come help us celebrate all the practicing our students have done over the last month with their performances.

Just a reminder that next week Weston will be celebrating spirit week.

Monday - wear some festive socks or a hat.

Tuesday - holiday cheer day; wear something festive that brings joy to our school

Wednesday - ugly sweater day

Thursday - New Year's Attire day; wear your best clothes for our holiday concert

Friday - PJ day; wear your most comfortable pajamas and enjoy a delicious pancake breakfast in the morning

Weston is celebrating JOY during the month of September. Each candy cane contains something that brings joy to each student.

Just a reminder. Report cards go home Wednesday.

Also, please check with your child for the parent teacher conference schedule that will be sent home Wednesday as well. Parent/teacher conferences are Thursday from 3:30 - 7:00 and Friday from 9:00 - 12:00.

There is no school on Friday for Weston students.

Weston students took the opportunity to celebrate our Indigenous culture by building inukshuks at recess.
