One isn't necessarily born with courage, but one is born with potential. Without courage, we cannot practice any other virtue with consistency. We can't be kind, true, merciful, generous, or honest. A coward gets scared and quits. A hero gets scared, but still goes on.
A Metis is born with an Invisible Super Hero Cape, our Sash just keeps us grounded to family and Community.
It reminds us that we are all Connected just like the Infinity Symbol.

Check out this sincere letter from one of our PSESP Métis students, we are so proud of you!
Dear Manitoba Métis Federation on Provincial Education,
Thank you for supporting me on my academic journey at New Brunswick Community College – St. Andrews, New Brunswick. I am currently enrolled in the pre-employment training program for Electrical Construction, which is eight months before I commence my on-the-job apprenticeship hours. This is the first step towards completing my Red Seal Construction Electrician designation.
Your financial support has allowed me to focus my me on my academic studies. I treat school as a job and therefore I am on campus from 7 am till 5 pm daily, completing my term work and asking questions to further my understanding within the trade. This is reflected in my academics therefore I am currently on track to receiving honors. This experience has given me a clear understanding of the basic application of installing electrical equipment. I am very excited to continue learning and working within this trade.
My future goal is to complete my hours and levels to become fully certified as a Red Seal Electrician. This includes complete all academic blocks and working with journeymen/women to obtain the best practices to work within the industry.
Thank you for your generous support,
Kristine Henderson
