Thank you to all the students who participated in the Kindness May/Mental Health Week "Connection Challenge" posted on the "NPC Students" chat. Seven student won a gift card or coupons to share a meal or treat with a friend.
Here are some of the fantastic suggestions we received to connect with others. We encourage you to try one!

- Go to a care home to visit a relative, and also visit elders there
⁠- Bring a treat to someone and say thank you for all they do
- Invite a friend for a walk, or play a game together, or watch a movie together
- Exchange written letters with someone
- Make a gift for someone and include a positive, personalized note
- Plan a Bible study with a group of people
- Have a bonfire and invite people over
- Make and share a favourite meal with a family member
- Invite someone to go for coffee and talk
- Invite a friend or family member to go kayaking with me
- Reach out to someone who seems lonely and invite them to do something together
- Invite someone to go outside at during lunch and go for walk
- Reach out to a friend who's going through a hard time and spend time together
- Say thank you to people; appreciate someone who doesn't hear thank you enough
- Bring baking to someone and visit with them
- Go thrifting with a friend
- Take a grandparent out for lunch
- Go for a bike ride with a friend
- Sit with someone who looks lonely and chat with them
- Enter a contest with a friend
- Rake a neighbours yard and visit with them afterward
