Have you ever attended a line dancing event and wondered how everyone seems to know the steps? Here’s how:

1. They start in a class designed for Beginners just like this one at Parks & Rec Gastropub and Sports Bar.

2. They learn the basic steps, terminology and etiquette and build their foundation.

3. They learn simple dances and practice them until they become second nature. Once it starts to feel easy, they move into a more challenging class like our Beginner Plus on Wednesdays.

4. They attend open dance events like this Sunday at Walkerville Brewery and join in with other dancers, even if they don’t know the dances yet. Half the fun is jumping in, laughing at yourself, and making memories.

5. They become part of the family. The line dance community is a fun, friendly, judgment-free group of people who are always ready to welcome you and help you out.
