On behalf of Jim’s Taekwon-Do, I would like to invite you and your students to participate in the 10th Annual Valley Open Taekwon-Do Tournament, taking place on Saturday, October 24, 2026, at West Hants Middle School, 8009 Highway 14, Newport, Nova Scotia.

This year marks the 10th anniversary of the Valley Open, and we are looking forward to welcoming Taekwon-Do schools and competitors from across Nova Scotia and New Brunswick for a great day of competition, sportsmanship, and friendship.

Advance registration and payment must be received no later than October 21, 2026.

Registration Fees:
• Two events – $55
• Three events – $60
• Door registration – additional $10

Payments for advance registration can be sent by e-transfer to [email protected]. Please include the competitor’s name in the comments section.

Registration will also be available at the tournament between8:00 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. Payment at the door must be made by cash and there will be an additional $10 fee to register at the door. Please note that anyone who has not registered by 9:30 a.m.will not be able to compete.

Spectator admission is $5.

Also, attached you will find a comlete package that you can post in your dojang and share with your students via email.

We hope you will join us and bring your students out to help celebrate the 10th Annual Valley Open. Your continued support and participation are greatly appreciated, and we look forward to seeing everyone on October 24th.

Welcome to the last month of summer training and summer hours
Regular classes for this month are Tuesday and Thursday nights
6-7 pm kids class
7-8pm family class
Dexters run will take place at college road on Saturday August 22 starting at 9 am sharp followed by his fitness test if anyone wants to watch
My testing date for August will be Thursday August 27 starting at 6 pm sharp for everyone followed by Dexter black belt testing
Everyone is free to come and watch but if anyone wants to test you must fill out your testing forms no later than August 20 so I can properly prepare
We are still accepting new students ages 4 and up including adults
