Our students had a wonderful time creating their lambathes (λαμπάδες) while learning about the significance of this special day in our Orthodox faith — η Ανάσταση του Λαζάρου. It was truly heartwarming to see their creativity, joy, and engagement throughout the retreat.

A heartfelt thank you to our amazing parents, dedicated volunteers, and, of course, our incredible students for making this day such a success. Σας ευχαριστούμε από καρδιάς for your continued support and participation.

Τι όμορφη και ευλογημένη ημέρα περάσαμε στην ετήσια Ημερίδα του Σαββάτου του Λαζάρου! ✨

Οι μαθητές μας είχαν μια υπέροχη εμπειρία φτιάχνοντας τις λαμπάδες τους, ενώ παράλληλα έμαθαν για το βαθύτερο νόημα αυτής της ξεχωριστής ημέρας της πίστης μας — την Ανάσταση του Λαζάρου. Ήταν πραγματικά συγκινητικό να βλέπουμε τη δημιουργικότητα, τη χαρά και τον ενθουσιασμό τους καθ’ όλη τη διάρκεια της ημέρας.

Ένα μεγάλο ευχαριστώ στους υπέροχους γονείς μας, στους αφοσιωμένους εθελοντές και φυσικά στους καταπληκτικούς μας μαθητές που έκαναν αυτή την ημέρα τόσο επιτυχημένη. Σας ευχαριστούμε από καρδιάς για τη στήριξη και τη συμμετοχή σας.

Είμαστε ευγνώμονες που μπορούμε να ενωνόμαστε ως κοινότητα και να διατηρούμε ζωντανές τις όμορφες παραδόσεις μας. Και του χρόνου με υγεία! 💛

✨A Beautiful Celebration of Christmas at Our Greek School, Dance, Sunday School & Youth Party ✨

This past Saturday, December 20th, our Greek School and Youth Christmas Party was filled with joy, laughter, and the true spirit of the season. 🎄
Our students shared wonderful performances, singing Christmas carols and spreading warmth and cheer to everyone in attendance. From the smiles on the children’s faces to the fellowship shared over lunch and hot chocolate, it was a heartfelt reminder of how special our community truly is.
A sincere thank you to our dedicated teachers, volunteers, parents, and youth leaders who worked so hard to make this celebration so meaningful. Your time, love, and commitment to our children and our faith do not go unnoticed.
Most of all, thank you to our students and youth for shining so brightly and reminding us all of the hope, joy, and light that Christmas brings. ✨
We are so grateful for our Greek School family and wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a blessed New Year. 🎅🏼

OXI Day Celebration

Last Saturday, our community came together to proudly celebrate OXI Day, honoring the courage and faith of the Greek people who stood firm on October 28, 1940. The day began beautifully with a Doxology service in church, where students, families, and parishioners joined in prayer and thanksgiving for our heritage and freedom.

Following the service, the celebration continued with moving recitations of poems by our Sunday School and Greek School students, each one expressing love for Greece and gratitude for the sacrifices of past generations. The audience was deeply touched by their heartfelt performances and the spirit of unity that filled the room.

Our Greek Dance groups then took the stage, delighting everyone with traditional dances performed with pride and enthusiasm. Their energy reminded us that our culture and traditions continue to thrive through our youth.

The event concluded with a festive luncheon, where families and friends gathered to share food, fellowship, and stories, reflecting on the meaning of OXI Day and the values it represents—faith, courage, and love of country.

We extend a warm thank you to our teachers, parents, and volunteers who worked tirelessly to prepare the students and make this year’s celebration such a success. Ζήτω η Ελλάς! Ζήτω το ΟΧΙ! 🇬🇷

Εορτασμός της Επετείου του «ΟΧΙ»

Το περασμένο Σάββατο, η κοινότητά μας συγκεντρώθηκε για να γιορτάσει με υπερηφάνεια την Εθνική Επέτειο του «ΟΧΙ», τιμώντας το θάρρος και την πίστη του ελληνικού λαού που αντιστάθηκε ηρωικά στις 28 Οκτωβρίου 1940.
Η ημέρα ξεκίνησε όμορφα με τη Δοξολογία στην εκκλησία, όπου μαθητές, οικογένειες και ενορίτες προσευχήθηκαν και ευχαρίστησαν τον Θεό για την ελευθερία και την πλούσια κληρονομιά μας.

Στη συνέχεια, η γιορτή συνεχίστηκε με απαγγελίες ποιημάτων από τα παιδιά του Κατηχητικού και του Ελληνικού Σχολείου, που με συγκίνηση και περηφάνια τίμησαν την Ελλάδα και τους αγώνες των προγόνων μας. Το κοινό ενθουσιάστηκε και συγκινήθηκε από τις όμορφες παρουσιάσεις και το πνεύμα ενότητας που επικρατούσε.

Ακολούθησαν οι παραδοσιακοί χοροί από τις χορευτικές ομάδες των παιδιών μας, που με κέφι και χάρη παρουσίασαν χορούς από διάφορα μέρη της Ελλάδας, αποδεικνύοντας ότι η παράδοσή μας συνεχίζει να ζει δυνατά μέσα από τη νέα γενιά.

Η εκδήλωση ολοκληρώθηκε με ένα εορταστικό γεύμα, όπου όλοι μαζί – μαθητές, γονείς και φίλοι – απόλαυσαν φαγητό, παρέα και όμορφες στιγμές, συζητώντας για το βαθύτερο νόημα της ημέρας: την πίστη, το θάρρος και την αγάπη για την πατρίδα.

Ένα μεγάλο ευχαριστώ σε όλους τους δασκάλους, τους γονείς και τους εθελοντές που εργάστηκαν με μεράκι για να προετοιμάσουν τα παιδιά και να κάνουν τη φετινή γιορτή τόσο ξεχωριστή.
Ζήτω η Ελλάς! Ζήτω το «ΟΧΙ»! 🇬🇷

Special Blessing for the Youth Programs of our Greek Community
Today, with hearts lifted in prayer, we gathered as one family in the presence of God to receive a special blessing upon the youth of our Greek Community.
Our youth programs-whether they are rooted in Sunday School, Greek School, Dance, GOYA, JOY and HOPE are not simply activities, they are ministries. Ministries that connect our children and teens to their heritage, to one another, and most importantly to Christ.
We pray that these programs continue to be fertile ground where seeds of faith are planted and cultivated.
We wish them all a wonderful year!

First day of Greek School - Saturday, October 4th

This past Saturday marked the exciting first day of Greek School-and what a wonderful start to the year it was! The energy was high as students, parents and teachers gathered to kick off another year of learning and celebrating our rich Greek language and culture.
To make the day even more special, we had a sweet surprise waiting-a delicious treat from Mr. Puffs! Their famous loukoumades were a hit with our students. Adding a fun festive touch to the day's celebrations. We are so grateful to Mr. Puffs for generously providing this tasty treat to help us start the school year on such a high note.
A heartfelt thank you to our dedicated teachers, volunteers, and families for making the first day such a success. Here's to a year full of learning, growth, and Greek pride! 🇬🇷

Καλή σχολική χρονιά σε όλους!

On Sunday, June 8th, our community came together to celebrate the conclusion of a wonderful year for our Greek School, Dance and Sunday School programs. The day began with our church service, where our Sunday School students received their certificates of completion. It was a moment of pride and joy, recognizing their spiritual growth and dedication throughout the year.

The celebration continued in the community hall, where the Greek School students showcased their learning with heartwarming performances of poems and songs, Their enthusiasm and hard work were evident and deeply appreciated by all in attendance. Each student was then presented with a certificate to commemorate their achievements this school year.

Families, teachers, and parishioners gathered afterward to enjoy a delicious lunch, sharing laughter and conversation as we marked the close of another successful academic year. It was a beautiful day filled with pride, tradition, and community spirit.

A heartfelt thank you goes out to all the educators, our community council, volunteers, and parents whose support made this celebration possible. We wish everyone a safe, restful, and joyful summer!

Την Κυριακή 8 Ιουνίου, η κοινότητά μας συγκεντρώθηκε για να γιορτάσει το τέλος μιας υπέροχης σχολικής χρονιάς για το Ελληνικό Σχολείο, Χορό, και το Κατηχητικό. Η ημέρα ξεκίνησε με την Θεία Λειτουργία, κατά τη διάρκεια της οποίας οι μαθητές του Κατηχητικού έλαβαν τα αναμνηστικά τους διπλώματα για τη συμμετοχή και πρόοδό τους. Ήταν μια στιγμή υπερηφάνειας και χαράς.

Η γιορτή συνεχίστηκε στην κοινοτική αίθουσα, όπου οι μαθητές του Ελληνικού Σχολείου παρουσίασαν ποιήματα και τραγούδια. Η προσπάθεια και ο ενθουσιασμός τους ήταν εμφανή και καταχειροκροτήθηκαν από όλους τους παρευρισκόμενους. Στο τέλος της εκδήλωσης, σε κάθε παιδί απονεμήθηκε δίπλωμα για την ολοκλήρωση της σχολικής χρονιάς.

Ακολούθησε γεύμα, όπου γονείς, εκπαιδευτικοί και μέλη της κοινότητας είχαν την ευκαιρία να χαλαρώσουν και να απολαύσουν την παρέα, γιορτάζοντας όλοι μαζί τις επιτυχίες των παιδιών μας.

Ένα μεγάλο ευχαριστώ σε όλους τους δασκάλους, το κοινοτικό συμβούλιο, εθελοντές και γονείς που στήριξαν την προσπάθεια αυτή και συνέβαλαν στην επιτυχία της εκδήλωσης. Ευχόμαστε σε όλους ένα όμορφο καλοκαίρι!
