Time for an update.
The Cedar Centre will remain open, as East Hants Municipality is not one of the communities to which the additional restrictions of April 23 apply.
We strongly support these measures and will continue do dilligently follow public health guidelines to keep the Cedar Centre a safe environment.
Call or pm if you have any questions.

Dear Platypus Community,
While the Pandemic is ongoing, we were able to open our doors again. As you can see in these pictures, we made adjustments to our space and processeses to comply with the guidance from government and experts:
* reduced occupancy
* by appointment only
* increased cleaning and disinfection protocol
* dedicated exercise & treatment spaces for each client.
Call us for an appointment at 902 472 3510.
We hope to see you again, soon, until then be well and be safe!

All right, was looking for the Easter bunny, he crossed the bridge. When you know this bridge, you surely are on its heels. I myself wondered what happened to the hand rails?

I was on an Easter egg hunt, and see what I found: An Easter egg nest, Corona Easter Eggs. (Question: Does a virus lay eggs?), and a juicy strawberry cake. How I miss these things.

How is everybody feeling after about three weeks COVID-19?
I feel like I've been living in a box.
Tomorrow it will be 4 weeks that Cedar Centre hosted its last event. The poetry of Aldon Nowlan, interpreted in music by Pete Johnston.
Here is a sweet little poem that received some attention:

Cynical at a time like this to even consider war like activities in any circumstance.
Matthias just signed this -- will you join?
People from across the world are signing this open letter, that reads… ...

Here an update of our friends GiveToLive:
In the past "GiveToLive" inspired many of us to engage in health & fitness, even if the goal in the beginning appeared unsurmountable. Just think about swimming the Straight between New Brunswick and PEI. I am amazed by the spirit and courage of these who committed to the task of helping others by signing up for something so big, that no one, certainly not themselves, could have been sure to succeed.
In the end, it always worked out.
These days we all are in the same boat. Nobody knows exactly how all of this will end. I trust together we will make it to the other side.
Whatever we may have learned in the process, spirit is what matters most .... and movement.
We at Platypus support "GiveToLive" as an excellent opportunity to connect, share and carry on.
Give To Live | Covid-19 Update April 2020
Thank you for your kind messages and best wishes since our last note. It really underlines the deep connections we have with our GIVETOLIVE family!

No Joke ....
Dear Platypus Community,
We hope this email finds you well and you have been able to cope successfully with the isolation and uncertainty that abounds.
First of all we would like to thank all of you, who have reached out to us by email, phone and in person. We very much appreciate your support and care. It's good to know that you are - like us - waiting to pick up where we all left off.
On March 19, we informed you that we would close our doors due to the COVID19 Pandemic. At the time, we were hopeful that we would be able to re-open Platypus in some capacity after 2 weeks of quarantaine. However, it's become increasingly clear that we are in this for a longer haul. Sadly, we have to extend our closure, as so many others have already.
In the meantime, we are preparing new activities and we will be in touch about them, shortly.
Take good care of yourselves. We do miss you!
Sincerely,
Matthias and the Platypus Team
